In their post-game huddle, last week, the Wildcats coach told them (Paraphrased), "I want to tell you something, 'cuz this is what you're gonna hear. I know how good Highlands is, but the only thing It gotta tell you is...we only have to be good once!"

Poor choice of words. They had better be better then good. They had better be great once to beat this determined Highlands team. I know of a few teams that were just good but not great and we know what happened to them. I am sure FS will give it their "great team" effort though Sat as will the Birds. Should be a good game.

Be careful down there. I hear they're "goin' to the ship" -- there may be a surprise pirate attack in the works. Maybe everybody should pick a buddy and pair up, just in case.

Great article on David! So glad that he is back and healthy and an impact player on this team. I can't imagine what those weeks were like this summer for him and his family. Great kid and great family!!

 

Spot on...great kid and great folks. David has potential to play at the next level with his size and deceptive speed. I hope he gets in the endzone this Saturday early and often.

Being somewhat close to the program, I am embarrassed to say that I didnt even know this kid was sick. This is a great story and a great kid.

As I am sitting here punching keys it is becoming clearer that David and his dad Ron were missing from early workouts and understandingly so.

David is a nice size kid. He has nice intangibles as a football player and obviously a new outlook on life.

We are some lucky people to live just 5 mins from Cinti Childrens Hosp, perhaps the best hospital in the world.
