Is it safe to assume UL has very little chance of getting either?

 

How about we stick to the topic - please - instead of theorizing on where a 16 year old may want to attend college in 2 years. Take it elsewhere.

 

This is "supposed to be about " Friday night's game.

 

Speaking of which - the crowd was decidedly down. From my perch - the X side looked to be (way) down. Then Again I could be wrong.

 

But assuming the X faithful did not turn out in their ususal numbers - anyone wish to comment on that ? :confused::confused:

I will comment on the attendance. Wrong or right...X didn't have as many fans because maybe they didn't want to watch a butt whooping in all honesty. Remember fans come from all across the country to see this game. I am not 100% sure if I was living out of the area I would come in for the game. If T was down or insert school another school name here you would likely see the same attendance issue from that school.

It's Monday morning and it appears the game talk has died down. Even Jim is now talking about attendance figures.

 

If Charlie lands either of these two kids he should win a recruiting award.

New ranking are out for several sites, Trinity maintained it's #2 ranking in Rivals 100, #3 in Maxpreps top 25, and moved up to #4 in USA today poll.

 

I know that it is not an accurate system and the team is not concerned with it, but I think it is great. I deal with a lot of noise here in FL about KY football and having a team like Trinity that has played the schedule they have and won the way they have really quiets them down.

 

Several of my friends down here ('Bama, UF and FSU fans) are already on the trail of Quick, Hatcher, Wright and Dawkins. They are going to be pursued hard by some big time schools.

 

On a completely separate note, who does Trinity have coming up for the O-Line next year? I'm thinking that could be the Achilles heel for this team next year.

It is my guess that Quick and Hatcher will go to a school in the SEC, Big Ten,, Pac 12 or Big 12. IF UL joins the Big 12 then UL will have shot at the players.

While I totally agree with you on Quick & Hatcher but people seem to under estimated RB Dalyn Dawkins & DB Ryan White they are the same caliber player. Dawkins has break away speed,incredible balance,shifty quick, vision,tough as nails and What's most impressive he can run in between the tackles better than any high school RB that I've seen in quite some time. BTW the Kid is 170LBs WOW! Ryan White plays like Eric Berry of the KC Chiefs need I say more.

Thanks HBF. Just trying to stay on task -- I didn't think an attendance discussion was that far "out of bounds." It was still about "The GAme."

On the BLOCKED TRY by X of the T kick; Did anyone see or can anyone attest whether or not the X player was off-side prior to the snap. I am in no way trying to "start anything" - but some have contended that he was ( I did not watch the line play) . Is anyone able to contribute anything definitively ???

Since Quick's father played football at UL I don't think it's safe to assume that.

I disagree. I think you are underestimating Coach Strong's recruiting ability. The program is down, but it wasn't too many years ago that they had a legitimate shot at playing for a national championship. Kids that have grown up in Louisville and been a lifelong fan might want to be a part of the resurgence of UL football. Coach has shown this year a willingness to play a lot of true freshmen. If Quick and Hatcher want an opportunity to play immediately UL might be a good fit. If they want to go to say Oklahmoma and redshirt and maybe not play much until their 3rd year, then a school like Oklahoma might be a good fit. I really don't think homesickness has much to do with the decision these two will make.

 

 

I hate when people talk like this. If Lamar Dawson listened to this kind of foolishness he'd be the starting middle linebacker for an incredibly bad UL team or an incredibly bad UK team. Instead he is poised to be the starting middle linebacker at USC as a sophomore. Anyone who would rather see a kid lose at UL/UK instead of going to a real college football program is being selfish. Let the kid go and if the kid is overhyped he can always come home and play in the minor leagues of college football for UK/UL. At this point UK/UL is the school you choose if your best D-1 offer is EKU or WKU.
