sports fan
The article in the C-J explained how T was not ranked as they have played no KY opponents. Fine. HHS thus fully deserves #1. And though I understand that the Riverdale game with X is not included, how can BG be undefeated, beating X by 8 at X, and still they are ranked about 10 pts. behind X?! The Purples are getting a raw deal here! :irked:

sportsfan41
These ratings are about as good on paper at rating teams as they are on paper at wiping rear ends.
Sandbagger
These ratings are about as good on paper at rating teams as they are on paper at wiping rear ends. I totally agree the C-J is trash! They're sloppy work is well documented...
PurplePride92
I can't look at any rankings for Ky high school football that doesn't have Trinity #1.
rockmom
I can't look at any rankings for Ky high school football that doesn't have Trinity #1. The LIT doesn't take into account OOS opponents, so they can't include Trinity until we play an in-state opponent.
UK fball fan
Like all computer polls, they get better as the year wears on. However, not including out of state wins against quality opponents means it'll never be exact.

ThrillVille Cardinal51
Maybe the CJ decided that Trinity was so bad that they didn't even deserve to be on the list.

tdyballgame
The list should start with #2 right. Leave #1 open-TBD.

BlueFan
The Courier's LIT ratings do get more accurate as the season progresses. They are just a statistical look at the in-state games that have been played. No "tweaking" for injured/returning players, home field, type of surface, etc. By year's end the top teams in Kentucky are pretty accurately reflected in these ratings. snakesnot_2000
Dang. Mayfield at this point would be a 14 pt underdog to Beechwood. The LIT guy must have dyslexia.
