I would say the Clark county team from 91 that beat both x and Trinity to finish undefeated and won the state was one of the best teams ever. Loaded in the backfield. Best team I have seen, and I played against that group personally.

I know nothing of the 91 Clark County team , it's obvious that you have not seen THIS Trinity team in person, or you wouldn't have posted what you did. I respect your opinion , everyone is entitled their own opinion , but I believe this Trinity teams ranks very close if not the best team ever ! I am positive that Clark Co. schedule of 91 , is not even close to this years Trinity schedule.

If Trinity runs the tables this year with their schedule, they definitely need to be considered as the best ever. They could be rated the #1 team in the Nation by seasons end.

I saw Clark Co. beat the Rocks that year & they were awesome & much quicker than we were that night for sure, but I don't think they could touch this years Rock squad...

Clark Co. 91 should not be excluded from the discussion simply because they didn't play Trinity's 2011 schedule. A team theoretically could be the "best ever" that played only cupcakes. Clark Co. 91 knocked off T and X in the same year which probably hasn't happened more than 2 or 3 times the last 30 years. For those familiar with the Clark 91 squad, who were some of the studs and where did they go on to play in college?

It's an impressive resume, but I suspect it will pale in comparison to the one that Trinity will have put together by December.

IMO, Highlands, BGreen, Manual, JHardin, St X and possibly a couple of others would have also been 3-0 vs the schedule T has played. Do I think they would have beaten those 3 by that much, no way, but, I do think they would have beaten them.

They had 2 solid running backs: one big & strong, the other smaller and jet-quick. Eric Clay, maybe? And they ran the wing-T. First time I'd seen that offense and I still can't find the ball! That's all I can remember.

I agree that Clark County 91 is impressive ,but you might want to look at Highlands 09 schedule and results. They are more impressive than the 91 Cark Co. team IMO. If Trinity stays undefeated they are the best ever without a doubt.

The 1998 Highlands team (with Smith, Lorenzen, etc.) was as impressive as any I've seen. So was Trinity's 1990 outfit. I saw both of those play in the state finals, and I saw Trinity win a close game against a very good Paducah Tilghman team in 1988.
