September 9, 201115 yr Looks like the La Nina is back. I was just checking the NWS site out of Louisville and found the following article. Seems like we might be in for the same winter weather we saw last winter. The long range winter forecast won't be out until the middle of October. For what it is worth, the Farmer's Almanac also predicts a winter similar to the one we had last year. La Niña, which contributed to extreme weather around the globe during the first half of 2011, has re-emerged in the tropical Pacific Ocean and is forecast to gradually strengthen and continue into winter. September 9, 201115 yr So this means we'll keep getting 1-2" of snow every other day from Dec-March causing the cancellation of school and multiple high school/middle school basketball games? Great. They say it is developing exactly like the one we had last year. So if it the forecast holds true, I look for some of the same type of weather we had at the end of last year and the beginning of this year. NWO loves him some weather! lolThe mind might like it but the arthritis doesn't!
