The Observer Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Former Highlands grad and University of Cincinnati Tight End Ben Guidugli has make the 53 man roster of the St. Louis Rams. Things can happen and the Rans could always make a few more changes to pick up players cut from other teams, but congrats to Ben on his roster spot.
Voice of Reason Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Awesome!! It is always great to see an area kid make it to the ultimate level in football.
sportsfan41 Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Congrat's young man. Awesome to see another local guy doing well in the league.
ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 That's pretty cool. I love seeing local guys make a name for themselves on a big stage, even if they did go to that one school.
Run To State Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Ben's a great guy, I wish him the best and hope for a nice long career in the NFL!
The Observer Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 Looks like the Rams let Ben and center Hank Fraley go today in order to sign a different tight end. Sorry to hear. I hope he can catch on elsewhere.
Clyde Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Looks like the Rams let Ben and center Hank Fraley go today in order to sign a different tight end. Sorry to hear. I hope he can catch on elsewhere. Saw that. Probably practice squad.
theguru Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 They signed another TE to the practice squad but that would appear to be one they cut before Ben so I assume there is a good chance Ben could replace him on the PS. Anyone?
The Observer Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 That is exactly the case Guru. Rams cut the other TE and have signed Ben to the practice squad.
Clyde Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 If my memory is correct the practice squad pays $5k per week.
