September 6, 201115 yr That is exactly the case Guru. Rams cut the other TE and have signed Ben to the practice squad. Fantastic! I always thought Ben did some things on a football field as good as anyone and him making the League is proof positive.

September 8, 201115 yr If my memory is correct the practice squad pays $5k per week. For 18 weeks...not a bad chunk of change for 4 and a half months of work. Making the active roster starts the pension time. That is key, qualifying for that
September 28, 201115 yr The Rams made several roster moves Tuesday and are expected to make another before Wednesday afternoon’s practice. Released from Injured Reserve were DBs Dionte Dinkins and Tim Atchison. Rookie S Jermale Hines was released and TE Ben Guidugli was a practice squad deletion. CB Rod Hood is expected to be signed on Wednesday.

I thought, but could be wrong, that last year at this time they signed another TE, and Ben went to the practice squad. From there I am not sure but I was wondering the same thing last night during the game. Another fun fact, Doug Jones (Dixie/UC) was also in camp with the Rams a couple of years go but didn't make the team.

I don't know if that stuck. I know that he was on the team after the 2nd preseason game. After that...I have no clue.
October 9, 201214 yr He made the roster, when other teams cut down St. Louis picked up a player and cut Ben. I hadn't heard if he caught on anywhere or made a practice squad.
