Scott Baker, Junior Holy Cross plays first I believe, Alex Weber of Holy Cross a sophmore this year, Nick Tewis also of the Indians as a junior should all open eyes. As well as Farris behind the plate at Boone and Kyle York on the mound at Ludlow.

I've coach Alex since a young age. But his baseball class at HC is one of the better ones they have had in awhile, Alex is lucky if he gets on varsity.

Didn't see Shackefords' name in the hitting leaders last year.....so with the excelent defensive skills I've seen in Suckow and the fact that he hit .403,

I'll take Suckow.

I'll assume the lack of a "Corey Farris" mention was an oversight.

Of course it was an oversight. The problem with making a list is you never get everyone who deserves to be on the list. Dietz and Ferris will be among the best in the region no doubt. Not a slight by any means, just forgot them. Happens when you get old.

I hope Alex gets on Varsity this year... I know one of the reasons why he left Ludlow was to go to Holy Cross to get better coaching and to play with his teammates from knothole.. But after watching the freshman coach he played under last year at Holy Cross I believe he would have been better off staying at Ludlow. The Holy Cross freshman baseball coach was HORRIBLE. Alex would have been better off staying at Ludlow because he would have been starting varsity as a freshman and getting very good varsity experience. Also he would have gotten more of a chance to pitch on a consistent basis which would have made his control alot better. When he has control of his pitches he is very hard to hit because he throws hard.

How many kids leave Ludlow for HC? Seems like a lot.

I would add Schreiver (CCH) to the list. He (along with Best of Scott and another player from Ryle) represented N.Ky. in the Ky. High School Junior All-Star game last summer. All 3 are very nice players.

Yeah there has been. So I believe the Holy Cross faithful should be thankful of us at Ludlow instead of putting us down all the time because we turn out alot of good athletes when their young and Holy Cross gets to benefit from it when they get to high school because they go there instead. But we at Ludlow still find away to be pretty competitive with Holy Cross anyways in mostly all sports even though they got alot of are best athletes.

I realize Bracken County is a little down the road from most of you guys, but what about the Highlander kid from BC. I heard some good things about him. Anyone had eyes on him?

Good choice if were talking defense.

Brann is the best overall catcher in the area.

Very good catcher. But I"ll go with Kyle Kramer from Brossart.

Don't know much about him. They will see each other throughout the year though.

Very good behind the dish, hits for ave. and power. Whats most impressive is his speed. For a catcher he runs the bases very well.

I know that he is only a Sophmore but how come NO one is talking abotu Corey Farris. He has a good arm and a great bat probably led BC in average and i believe hit 4 or so homeruns for them. Ill give Brann the best right now but dont be suprised if Corey is better than him at the end of the year.

He will be next year. Don't see Brann slipping up during his senior year. Scott has a legit chance to make some noise this year. Farris will be the best catcher in 07 and 08.
