haha wow so what is this... 4 huge players from Beechwood, at this rate i expect Beechwood to win state. Obiviously you guys dont watch other games.

 

Holy Cross- Ryan Busse who had to sit out last year

 

Ludlow- Kyle York who can bring some heat and has alot of pop in the bat

 

Conner- Jrs. 3rd baseman Shane Taylor and pither Ricky Harkins

 

Cov. Cath- Larkin (heck of an athlete) and Blesser

 

Brossart- Mutch i believe that is his name can bring the heat :flame:

 

Beechwood- Curley and Muth of course we heard about already

 

SK- Matt Geicone and Matt Cook will try to lead them with their pitching

 

Scott- Scotty Best who was chosen w/ Curley to rep. for the jr. All-Star team along with Honorable mention Chris Conley

For SK don't forget A.J. Elliot, he was SK's number one pitcher last season.

Some that have not been mentioned yet.

 

Michael Smith-Highlands Had good year last year look for him to be better this year. Probably the best player at Highlands.

 

Jon Baker and Chris Neumann-Beechwood Don't hear much about these two because of all the other talent. Both had great years last year and look for more of the same this year.

 

Jimmy Ryan-Holy Cross Look for a huge breakout year for this lefty.

 

Chris Brann-Scott Consistent behind the plate, look for a break out year hitting.

You are correct, Patrick Johnson has stepped up for the Wildcats. It is the next 4 years to watch though. Patrick still has 4 years ahead of him, he was playing Varsity catcher as an 8th grader last season.

All good players...However, In my opinion A.J. Elliott is SK's #1 pitcher.

Braden McCain from Campbell County

Scott will be solid led by Best, Conley, Brann in the middle of the lineup. Swanson will be strong if he gets into shape.

That's the main question. Will Swanson get into shape, if he does, then i expect good things from scott in the 10th region this year.

Elliott really has carried the SK pitching staff for the last couple of years IMO....

Ellliot has definitely carried that pitching staff for Sk the last few years. I agree on that and I think he will have a very solid season for the Neers this year as well. He has great command and is just a solid pitcher. You see him warming up and think your team will have no problem hitting him but he just goes out there and gets the job done.

Tierney, Schriever, Bleser, Blazejewski, Larkin, and Farrell will try to defend the Colonels Regional title this year agianist the Tigers who obviously have the big guns this year. Especially with Chas Moore playin this year. Its going to be interesting when you know these teams will see each other atleast 2 times maybe 3 with them being in the same district.

Also you can't leave out St. Henry's Craig Shanks (a solid 3rd basemen and pitcher) and Ben Kuebbing ( another good pitcher and solid outfielder) Also maybe even Adam Gilcrest (Beechwood fans remember him i believe pitching 7 or 8 innings againist Beechwood and handing them a lost while Curley was the other pitcher) All junior but all solid players.

Champs I definitely agree with you.....With beechwood Chas Moore will be a great addition and I think he is going to be a very big part of that team. I have played summer ball with him the past 2 years and he is a great player. He will be a key asset for the tigers and may even help them get over the top and dethrone the Colonels, who like you said have a bunch of good players and will be hard to knock off like usual.

 

St.Henry I do agree will be a tough team next season. Is grieme back? Cause if so that just makes them even better. Also on Shanks he plays SS and 2b not 3rd. He maybe did during summer ball but whenever I have played against him he was at those 2 places or the mound. That district the 33rd will be very tough to get out of this season. You look at Ryle they return 2 of there top 3 pitchers from last year in Hughes and Humphries. They also have that whole infield coming back. Then you look at Conner with Eder who is a very good pitcher. They will be very young but talented. If Wycoff can mature those young players throughout the season they can also make a run and beat anyone in the region with Eder on the hill. Then finally the Rebels of Boone. They lost a lot from a region final four team and district champs but they return Farris and Dietz who I think are among the areas top 10 players. You put Dietz on the mound they can beat anyone in the region when he is on. It will be very interesting to see how this district plays out. IMO those district seeding games will mean more than ever this year because that 1st round bye will be a huge advantage when it comes to the pitching. It always is big to be able to save your ace for that district final four game but this season I definitely see it playing a huge role for which one of those teams make it to the region.
