Miami in Big Trouble?

Featured Replies

That's the hard part and fortunately it isn't in my job description.lol. I don't know that it is possible. I'd like to see them try.

I wouldn't want that job either. I guess I think they should be able to earn money based on their name. Signings, merchandise sales, advertising, etc.

The best recruiting class Louisville has had in years and they're all from Miami...yep, nothing to worry about.

Have to agree has ugly written all over it. Just depends on who else is going down or if Miami is going alone.

No doubt in my mind, U of L will be looked at as well. Every college football fan in America should be sweating right now. In a million years I never would have thought Miami was cheating. Not because they are above it, but because of the performance on the field. If it was happening at the U it was happening everywhere. DeBose turned down Miami for UF after meeting with Shapiro, what did UF give him?

I wouldn't wish this type of thing on any team, but I think this will not be the worst case to come out of this. I do think Miami is going to be hit really, really, really hard.

^ I do think that cheating is rampant....but there are very few places that have as sexy a locale as they do in Coral Gables.....what went down in Miami, was a perfect storm of a giant trying to stay just that, and one of the most appealing college football environments in our country. I would be shocked if the debauchery were this affluent anywhere else in the country.

I've heard keep an ear out for Drew Rosenhouse to be drug into the scandel because of all of his clients from The U.

I don't buy it. Alot more programs have more money to pass around because of more boosters. It doesn't make what happened at Miami less horrible, but I believe this goes on everywhere big at similar level. From LSU, to Michigan, to Texas.

The chance to play in the SEC? A shot at a national championship? A winning season?

If you're 18 years old do you take money or the chance to maybe win big? Not too many 18 year olds would turn down money, strip club visits, big parties, etc. He's on the take at UF too IMO.

I thought Miami was supposed to be punished for their transgressions. Yet, this morning I saw scrolling across ESPN's bottom line that QB Jacory Harris is ineligible. Maryland cannot be happy about the NCAA punishing them for Miami's mistake. :sssh:

Confused? Where does Maryland fit in all this?

5Wide was taking a (deserved) shot at Jacory Harris who will go down as one of the most over-hyped kids in decades.

Maryland is Miami's opening opponent. If I were playing Miami, I'd want Jacory Harris in the lineup. That's a minimum of two extra possessions for my team, maybe more.

Oh, ok. It’s Friday and I used too many brain cells at work this week so I guess I’m BC deficient. Of course as a Buckeye fan many would say that regardless. Somebody said the other day that the Miami vs OSU game is now going to be called the Inelig-bowl.
