I'm not necessarily against Strong's stance on this. I've already said I'm in favor of suspension pending investigation, but I like the idea of a coach standing by his staff and leaving all this to the AD. And I agree with Strong in that respect: I think Jurich will take care of it.

The NCAA, nothing. Bar them from coaching? Maybe their involvement in the ponzi scheme but that is a whole separate issue.

 

They can't really do much to them about the ponzi scheme unless they willingly admit they knew the funds were coming from that. I don't think they are that stupid.

Nationally, at this point, nobody has U of L in their sites. Locally, sure. That being said, I am sure the NCAA will look into U of L to make sure everything is on the up and up. The silver lining, if there is one, is that Hurtt wasn't the money man....and to our knowledge, that isn't happening here.

^ From what I have read, it is quite minor. Being a transport isn't the worst thing in the world. If it were Hurtt's house, or an actuall employee of the University's, again, that would be bad, bad news. Hurtt and Louisville are lucky that he was only the conduit to these kids and the school.

I was using report/article interchangeably. I knew what Strong was saying. For due diligence sake I would say he is doing both.

So because Pryor isn't a player yet he is not covered by the CBA therefore the NFL can impose this? Once he signs though isn't he then covered by the CBA? Maybe a topic for another thread.
