You have a Bachelors in Political Science and you don't know which Kennedy was running for President in '68 . WOW !http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_F._Kennedy

Amazing isn't it. Political Science isn't history though and NKU didn't offer a class titled Past Presidential candidates that didn't win.

Nice

Anyone questioning how Obama can still have a lead (which he does in numerous polls) needs only to look at the sorry collection of Republican candidates lined up & jabbering in Ames, Iowa last night. Incredibly pathetic...

Glad that I could help you out by performing one of the Spiritual Acts of Mercy and Instruct the Ignorant . At least You do know now why Bobby Kennedy was not elected President in '68 .

Because he was a Kennedy and they were cursed/doomed. Sad really, you know I'm just playing, I completely respect your opinion on here, you just gave me a great set for a spike.

Other than Romney, how many of those candidates do you think can stay within 5 percentage points of the President? Look at what people are saying in polls. They favor a Generic Republican over Obama, yet when you make the Republican specific, the President dominates.

Obama?

Yes. Tired of seeing my guy get kicked around even though no one better seems to he alive to handle the economic situation that will likely only continue to get worse regardless of who the POTUS is. I am ready to see someone else shoulder the blame.

Any influence a President has over the economy is even less today than it was in year's past as we continue to move to a world wide economy. Witness this week in the markets. The driving factor in this week's madness has been the ongoing economic crisis in Europe. What does a President or Congress have to do with that? Bush's years were sabotaged by the new world terror issue that forced him to grow government and put fear in the markets. Clinton's success can probably be attributed to the great technology boom as much as anything. Carter had no chance in the face of inflation run amuck and oil price dominance. Our Presidents are often more a victim or beneficiary of circumstance than they are a controller of their (and our) destiny.

Honestly, I think there's plenty of people MUCH better equipped to do the job, but they won't run. That's why we end up with guys like Obama, Carter, Bush and their ilk.
