Big O has been pretty solid all year. No problem bringing him into the game in that situation.

I guess it may be that I have never liked him . I still think he is horrible but like I said it is my opinion .

No doubt Hanigan should have had the ball, but with that extra infielder playing up the middle there is no diving for the ball, and throwing from the knees. Maybe even a chance for a DP, depending on how slow/fast the runner was.

Just giving you a hard time. I'm indifferent on playing an extra infielder. With a guy like Stubbs able to cover a lot of ground, it's not a bad idea.

And on Cheeseheadpreps.com they have started counting down the magic number for the Brewers.

Come on. That would be like Spindoc saying I'm skinny in his opinion.

I think Ondrusek was the right guy there, but I can't understand not having someone else up in the pen.

I understand what you are saying about Ondrusek...he's been good for the most part of the year. But he's also given up runs in three of his last five appearances. He's given up 8 hits in his last 3.1 innings pitched. He's walked four batters in the last three games and struck out only 1. And his ERA has went from 1.53 to 2.15 in the last week. So maybe right now he's not who needs to be in with it all on the line.

Who else are you going to bring in?

Chapman who could walk the winning run on 4 pitcher?

Bray (who Dusty only lets face lefties)?

You don't demote someone from their role based on 3.1 innings. ERA is a terrible stat for relief pitchers.

Bases loaded, what do you need there? Strikeout. Who else would you rather have out there than Chapman? He got no one out. Nary a soul. If nothing else, change something up. Gotta think everyone was available.

Again my opinion but I think that is were Jockety dropped the ball not getting another guy for that spot before deadline . I guees it is just my frustration coming out with this season .

Agreed, especially about ERA for relievers. But that work has all come in the last week. He's not gotten the job done THIS WEEK. Why keep putting him into pass/fail situations when he's obviously struggling? Why not give him a night off or put him in a no-pressure spot? Build the confidence up and then get him back in the spot where he used to be. Do you just keep dying with the same people?
