I know that things might have been kept under wraps and that the defense knows the offensive plays, but I thought that Trinity's defense looked better than their offense at the scrimmage Friday night. They obviously will need to be sharp to stop Towles et al.

If you think the PrepNation rankings are lopsided in favor of T, consider that Rivals has got T in its top 10 and does not have HHS ranked in its top 100.

 

I am curious to see if this scrimmage will be renewed after this year. Highlands used to scrimmage Male every year, and with a HHS alumnus now coaching at Male I have been wondering if HHS will go back to scrimmaging Male.

I agree, if Highlands is only ranked 70th in the nation, they really shouldn't show up. You have got to be kidding. Highlands will give a great effort and give Trinity a good scrimmage. You act like being 70th in the nation is nothing. Trinity obviously has an excellent team, but Highlands isn't chopped liver.

Never mind, thanks for the info tcjkbt, sorry to hear about the unfortunate injury. Injuries are never good, but really hate for it to happen right before the season is about to start.

Particularly to a senior. That just stinks.

Really hate to hear about his injury, I also had a son a senior miss his year due to an injury. Still bothers me when I discuss it. Hope he finds some peace with it.

It's a scrimmage in name only & that it doesn't count on their records. In every other way it will be played as a real game; refs, clock, timeouts, etc...

I'm not seeing Trinity going all out to win this scrimmage. They alreay have 2 starters out. Sugg (db) for the year and Noe (wr) for a few more weeks. No reason at all to risk more injuries when they have the games that count on the horizon. I'm sure this comment will be spun as "making excuses"... whatever, just my opinion which I am entitled to.

I don't see this as making excuses. "Winning" a scrimmage is not worth risking injuries that can cost you the rest of the season. I would think the coaches would want to make a good showing and work on any weaknesses they think they might have. Winning a scrimmage at all costs just makes no sense.
