Never once came close to saying I was forced to do anything. And no offense, but the job market in my profession is not even close to the market Jeter has for himself in the off season. I don't have 10 teams bidding for my services. It would cost more to move myself and my wife to another city than I would get from any raise in my profession. Having said that, I love my job and wouldn't give it up for any other "normal" job. I would give it up for a job that pays millions, where I have to do next to nothing :lol:.

Wasnt complaining about Jeter trying to get as much as he could. Was complaining about this man not trying to get as much as he could for the ball.

July 12, 201115 yr You know what, no one is ever an idiot for doing something selfless, whether it's giving back a baseball to Jeter or helping feed the homeless, or any other act you may do. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Good for this guy! If he's this selfless all the time, life will be good to him. And "good" may not be what you or I would think is "good", but it sounds like he's just simply a nice guy, and a huge fan. His heart led him, and he did the right thing. It's not all about the money.
July 13, 201115 yr The suite tickets he was given are worth $680 per ticket per game. I believe they gave him four tickets for the rest of the season which would be over $80,000 in tickets. I keep seeing the $250k figure being tossed around in this thread, is that the supposed worth?

July 13, 201115 yr In your profession don't you try to get as much money as possible? I think it is a little different when the difference in money for these athletes is whether they get paid 10 or 12 million year. Rather than everyday Joe who wants to some extra money for the bills.

July 14, 201115 yr He's an idiot for giving him the ball for that in the first place. I disagree entirely. It seems the more I give, the more I get. I sleep quite well at night as well.
