Obama was not raised for part of his youth (age 6 - 10) in a member state of the OIC and would never confuse the 57 states of the OIC with the 50 states of the US?

Inserting 57 instead of 50 is not being stupid or dumb and some want to imply. It is logical confusion with another political structure made up of 'states'.

More logical than misspeaking? It sounds like he started to say he had visited 50 states, realized he had only been to 47 at that point, and tried to correct himself halfway through. The OIC was either not formed or would have had only 30 members when Obama was in Indonesia. And I sincerely doubt that many people living in OIC countries even know it exists, let alone know how many members are in it. I would be shocked if more than 10% of Americans knew how many countries are in the UN and it is by far a larger, more prominent organization. I can't believe I'm even entertaining this. We may as well be speaking different languages.

I think the bigger question is was Wallace made to apologize to Bachman and their viewers by Fox News for not being 'fair and balanced'?

 

 

I thought he was asking a question giving her a chance to address her critics about her perception in Washington D.C. Female or not I think it is a fair question when you run around saying some of the things she has said. He didn't say 'I think you are a flake, tell me why you aren't.'. He addressed some things she has said, spoke about her perception and simply asked if she was a flake. Wahhhhh..... I think it's kind of funny to see someone from Fox News actually being 'fair and balanced' and then being forced to backtrack on it. Irony, anyone?

 

 

For the record, I'd love to see an interviewer have the testicular fortitude to ask President Obama about his 57 states gaffe or his birth certificate or his religious faith. With his sense of humor I am certain he would give a great answer. Has he never been interviewed by someone from Fox News? Surely they'd ask him something like that wouldn't they?

Obama this time will be judged on what he has done in his time in office. It will not be a pretty picture. As I have predicted before, with Rand Paul smoking Trey Grayson-despite the BGP folks on here saying it wouldn't happen. Obama is going to be in for the fight of his life regardless of who the republican nominee will be. He is not used to being questioned hard by critics, but he will be this time and his grade would be an F for anyone judging in an unbiased fashion. An intelligent Republican will crush Obama and the liberals back to their rock for another 20 years when the next one will come out.

I don't think this really has anything to do with Democrat or Republican. The reason I used Obama as an example is he's the president and has had quite a few gaffes. He made his share when he was running as well. Use G.W. in his place if you wish, I don't think Wallace would have handled it in the same way. I really think it's merely because she's a woman that he treated her in that manner.

Apples to oranges, PP92. First of all, he pointed out a truth, there are people that hate him just as there are people that hated Bush. He didn't ask him if he was a flake or imply it. I think he did both with Bachmann.

I will agree that Clinton and Rice might be treated differently by Wallace, I think some of that is because of the Tea Party. However, I remember a lot of stupid things Hillary said while running for president so he should put her in the same camp with Bachmann if that's his reason. Rice, on the other hand, is one smart woman and I really wish she'd run for president.
