It's one thing to misspeak ... it's another thing to make some of the outlandish statements that Bachmann has made.

I don't think so. She's made some Glenn Beckesque crazy statements in the past ... if he ran for office, he would be grilled about his comments, too.

Good point. It's the outlandishness ie Beck that got the "flake" question. Worded poorly perhaps but appropriate. Beck would hopefully get the same line of questioning if he was a candidate.

I seem to remember the media treating her a great deal more harshly than President Obama during the 08 Democratic primary...Maybe I'm misremembering, but it sure seemed that way.

I kind of lean that way too. I vehemently disagree with her on a lot of things, but she's as educated and qualified as any of the others in the field.
