There are legitimate reasons to ask Bachmann whether or not she's a flake and to ask Clinton whether or not he had a chance to nab bin Laden well before 9/11 ... I don't see that there is a legitimate reason to ask that of Obama. If you find one, let us know.

My contention is that Bachmann's statements make the question legitimate. I don't see that being the case with Obama, his citizenship and whether or not he's a Muslim.

I think a better example would be if a member of the media asked Obama if he was communist or a socialist. The Muslim thing is old news at this point.

I agree.

 

People act like she deserves the Michael Jordan treatment and aren't supposed to address anything she has said or her perception. If she is mistreated in the press it is obviously because she isn't respected nor has done anything to be respected by the press. Journalists aren't here to be buddy buddy with people and if people shouldn't always get in an uproar when a journalist actually does their job. A good PR person for Bachmann and this whole situation is avoided. It very well could be the fact that she is a woman for the cause of her 'mistreatment' from the press but Palin and now Bachmann are the only examples and that isn't good. Hilary has been praised and humbled by the press. You do good they report it. You do bad they report it. It's journalism. I love it.

He is a professional. Did you question his professionalism when he asked Bill Clinton about why he didn't capture Osama bin Laden?

If an interviewer has the perception that Obama is an idiot because of his policies and views, and there are many that think he is because of them, you'd be the first to blow your stack if the interviewer asked him if he's an idiot.
