May 15, 201115 yr I hope everyone who thinks Dusty is great was proud of him today. After three walks he went out to tell please throw strikes and left him in to walk another. I hope Dusty told him if he walks another, he is walking to Louisville.
May 15, 201115 yr You can't make this stuff up. "A poorly conditioned mound bothered Chris Carpenter in the first inning"--St Louis Post Dispatch "Lingering smoke from fireworks celebrating Ramon Hernandez' home run irritated him in the third"--St Louis Post Dispatch Yeah I was there and Carpenter stalled the game for over a minute due to the smoke...What a joke I have seen them give it a few sec to clear before but never the pitcher whine about it...The reds actually posted on the scoreboard the next inning that they wouldn't be shooting off fireworks the rest of the game...Heisey hit a home run no fireworks, not to big of a deal I guess other than I heard multiple little ones around me asking dad where the fireworks were lol...

May 16, 201115 yr I really like Janish as a defensive replacement for Edgar late in the game and to spell Edgar from time to time but that's it...Edgar gets it done with clutch its and a great eye at the dish...I just feel Janish would have played the last few years if he was capable but every year the bring in another vet at Ss...Paul Janish=Juan Castro...Not trying to dog on Paul
May 16, 201115 yr "Carpenter" is trending on Twitter in Cincinnati and it ain't kind. I'm not sure what this means. Does it mean that Carpenter is talking about Cincinnati, or does it mean Carpenter is being talked about in Cincinnati on Twitter?

I think that the Reds offense if good enough that I would prefer Janish's defense over Renteria's offense. Dusty just needs to bat Janish 8th, and not 2nd.

Hope his son understands.

However, when they're spelling Rolen, I think Renteria and Janish on the left side is just fine. Either way, Janish has no business in the 2 hole.
May 16, 201115 yr I went back, and watched the replay after your comments. How quick do you expect Janish to get the ball to him. He took one step, and underhanded the ball to Phillips. He was to close to throw it. Phillips had plenty of time to get the throw way. I'm not really sure what you expect. Quicker than he is so that he doesn't get BP killed with a hard slide. Those balls were hit hard enough that a little league shortstop could have gotten rid of it quicker. You don't have to wait until he gets to the bag to give him the ball. Rolen doesn't wait that long all the way across the diamond.
