June 14, 201115 yr Will Romney's stance on climate change be a major issue for him? Hard to tell.. We need someone to roll back Obamas back-door cap and trade.. If he is not willing to do that, it could him tons of votes... But who knows. It might get him a bunch of the tree-hugger vote who are sick of Obamas failed economic policies..

June 14, 201115 yr I think the candidates did very well last night. Paul is consistent in his opinions, and I can honestly see his son making a run at President in the future. I think Bachman handled herself well. Romney was on target, and honestly I was impressed with Pawlenty, although many in the press seemed to not. Cain, Santorum, Gingrich and probably Paul all somewhat quickly will have to give up the ghost, but I think based on what I saw Bachman will be in it longer than people believe, and to the delight of many on BGP-with her in-Palin will have to remain on the sidelines. I thought the comedy started after the debate when poor Robert Gibbs had to go around the networks defending the President. When you hear his talk points it cracks me up. When Obama was running it was all about the failed Bush policies and we needed hope and change. Well we got it, and now the Obama camp wants to buy more time, and have continued and/or extended the same policies he ran against. This election will be about the economy, and now Obama has a record to defend, and he is much better on offense than defense. Reminds me very much of LBJ. Declared the king and has some game, but has serious chinks in the armour that are going to be exposed by an intelligent opponent.

June 14, 201115 yr Author Former Utah Gov. Huntsman will enter next week. He will not campaign in Iowa though due to his opposition to ethanol subsidies which would have the effect of a major tax increase to many farmers in Iowa.
