Dick Morris just stated, and I amazingly agree, that Marco Rubio is a much more realistic VP candidate because of the need for the Republican candidate to garner some Latino votes.

Agreed. She doesnt come across well with some of her whacky comments. No doubt that she has intelligence. Big doubts about her ability to come across well.

 

Did you catch any of the debate? I was really surprised as all I knew about her was from the whacky sound bites I had heard. I was surprised to say the least. I was also impressed to learn she and her husband have fostered 23 children. That's pretty neat.

Amazing that people are supposed to suppress their real feelings on ideas if it isn't pc. More amazing is that more people DIED in the tragedy of Joplin Missouri than in the horrid disaster of Katrina and New Orleans, but where is the outcry of injustice from the media and the federal governments lack of help to help rebuild that town?

 

I keep telling you that the tipping point is near and people are fed up with the entitlement programs...we must have a safety net, but the net has grown too large and has gone on for far too long.

I do seriously question her ability to think (not traditional intelligence) before she speaks AND I question her wild theories and accusations she makes. Without looking it up I know she made some claim that she thought President Obama was going to REQUIRE kids to work in some of summer camp. She said something whacky about the framers of the Constitution wiping out slavery. She said something about linking President Carter and the swine flu. She totally butchered the census issue and made wild claims about it. I could go on. Heck, Google had to add another server just to handle the "Michelle Bachmann + whacky quotes" search.

I didn't see the entire debate but I saw when Cain said there is no place for Sharia law in the US Courts or something like that and the crowd applauded. I was all for that myself. Was there more?

It amazes me that these are their real feelings. Would they really require someone born in the US, raised in the US, educated in the US to have to swear allegiance to the United States before they could get a spot in their White House? That smacks of religious discrimination. For conservatives who hold the constitution so dear, that spits in the face of it.

I guess I should re-phrase my issue because she can obviously come across well at times. Anybody that makes the whacky claims and comments she's made are not POTUS material in my mind. It goes to her ability to be rational and to be a critical thinker. Did she really believe that every child might have to go to a "re-education camp?" That right there raises huge flags and sets off loud alarms for me. It's borderline scary to think someone whose mind can conjure up something as crazy as that might sit in the big chair some day. Again, that's just one....of many.

The Pakistani who emigrated to the U.S. became a citizen, built a car bomb which luckily failed to go off in Times Square was asked by the federal judge, how could he have done that when he signed — when he swore an oath to the United States. And he looked at the judge and said, “You’re my enemy. I lied.” Now, I just want to go out on a limb here. I’m in favor of saying to people, if you’re not prepared to be loyal to the United States, you will not serve in my administration, period.
