They started in it the first couple times down the floor, but Boone got off to such a fast start and were hitting shots that Ryle had to get out it quickly and go straight man. They had a horrible time matching up. The other key in the first half was the sagging man to man defense that Boone employed that totally shut down Ryle's dribble drive offense. They could not get any meaningful penetration. At the other end, Boone did not miss. They scored inside and outside.

Boone was lights out shooting tonight but it would really be nice to see Ryle's star play more than 10 minutes. I'd like to see Boone play any game with 10 minutes of Moss. Freppon and Coles are a joke as referees. I'm beginning to think I might have done something to them years ago and this is my payback:)
Tom Freppon is one of the top officials in the 9th Region. This might be hard to believe, but I'm pretty sure that the way the game is called is determined by the girls and not someone's uncle!!!

Crittendon is always a non factor when Tom Freppon and Bobby Coles are part of the officiating crew. Congratulations to Boone. Enjoy it, the Region starts Monday.

I was a very unbiased person in the crowd last night and I didn't see any calls that were blatantly wrong. If anything #25 for Ryle should have fouled out within two minutes the way she beat on Moss up and down the court. I don't know how Moss kept her cool. Eventually she started giving a little back. I guess Moss just handled it by demanding the ball down low and scoring at will. I think if they meet again it will be a barn burner though as both teams have solid players throughout the line-up.

92 points? Sounds like Ryle had more problems that the refs

I thought all of the foul calls on her were legitimate.

You know what they say about opinions? I've watched him ref games for years and if you don't think he favors certain coaches and teams and holds grudges against certain programs and teams better get a new pair of glasses.

You could call a foul every time down the floor if you wanted to. she gets penalized for aggressive play while Boone's same style of play gets overlooked. I just would really like the refs to stay in the background where they belong and let 2 physical teams play the game.

Was very pleased to hear this result when my dad called after the game. I plan on heading to a few at the BOK next week to watch the Lady Rebs!

I think what ya got was a better coach and a better team won this match this night. Maybe, just maybe Fookes paid attention to what other teams did to beat the Raiders this yr and implemented this into her game plan. I didnt see the game, but sounds like BC shot it as well as anyone could and obviously they did something defensely to upset Ryle and Crittendon. As far as saying that Crittendon wasnt allowed to play becasue she was in fould trouble, well that is the coaches fault. Let her play the whole dang game and if she fouls out she fouls out in the 1st half. You just should throw the book of coaching out when games are played most of the time at the HS level. Way too much coaching and not enough playing the game. TO say she plays more agressive then anyone else and this is the reason she get called for fouls is bull. I have seen the same problem this yr with my daughter and when she plays the bunny teams and plays at her level of agressiveness she fouls ofter and early. But when she plays more equal or better teams she hacks with the best of em and rarely gets called because of the agressiveness of the other girls. To say that BC isnt one of the most agressive teams that Ryle has played this yr and to blame two refs for the loss is just down right silly. JMO

Will this be a trilogy? Can both teams make it to the finals? I strongly suggest everyone get to the BOK to find out. The girls side is getting very interesting with multiple teams looking pretty strong.

Spot on Panda. These two can play next week and Ryle wins by 30, and again maybe they wont play. LOL

No way do I think the refs cost Ryle the game. Boone was on last night and did everything right. I just get perturbed when the men in stripes get in the way of the game. I've kept my mouth shut most of the season on the officiating but it is at it's lowest level in the 9th Region and not just with Ryle.

Now that I have let off a little steam let me say this; Boone County's game plan and execution last night was as good as it gets in High School Basketball. Congratulations and I hope we meet in the Region for the Championship.
