BTW the Dixie vs. Ludlow game was outstanding. Ludlow led much of the way but the longer the game went on, the depth of Dixie worked for Dixie, while the lack of depth hurt Ludlow.

 

Hold your heads up high young Panthers, you played a great game and congrats to the Red Colonels.

 

The Semi-Finals on Saturday 2-12-11 @ Covington Catholic should be fun to watch.

Hopefully I can make it over to watch these games. It is fun watching these young men playing with their parent, teamates and soon to be Varsity coaches looking on. It really is fun to watch and I encourage everyone to come out and see it for themselves.

Great job TOG, appreciate all the updates this week. I'll be there Saturday for hopefully 2 exciting semi-final games.

 

I know Dixie beat NCC pretty soundly very early in the season, maybe the 2nd or 3rd game if I recall. NCC will be looking to get revenge for that loss and advance to the finals. I know they are playing much much better now then they were then.

 

Cov Cath may be too strong for St. Henry but that should be a good game as well.

 

Good luck to all 4 remaining teams on Saturday.

I agree with a NCC/CCH final. St. Henry has a nice team, but CCH's size and depth should push them to the finals. NCC is playing very well right now and matches up with the Dixie bigs. Dixie will have to shoot very well to advance past NCC. Should be two good, well-coached semifinal games.

And the reason you posted this information to a thread that was about the Ninth Region Freshmen tourney was?

In regards to Ludlow, I'd say that I can't think of a freshman team in NKY that has a better all-around front court than Ludlow. They all have handle, size, and ability to shoot.

 

#40 starts for every NKY team and is one of the best frosh in the region.

I think Niehaus is an 8th grade play-up from Turkeyfoot. Dixie has some nice players in the pipeline.
