That top bracket is brutal. Birds vs Cru will be a great game.

Advice to the Cru: Practice your press breaker over and over. The Birds pressure is relentless and intense. If your guards hold the ball, they will become dead meat for the Birds.

Is True playing in this tourney?

Thanks to Geiman for instilling the pressure and hopefully it is starting to trickle upstream to the JV/Varsity. They are very strong and athletic and attack you the entire game.

True hasnt played a minute of Frosh ball. He has been starting JV and logging about 5-8 min a game at the VArsity level.

I am not a happy camper at the moment, as someone while I was helping to clean up the gym tonight, took the liberty of taking off with my program which was on the top of my briefcase. In that program I had all the scores of each game listed and the stats. What I have below is all that was left of what someone took

St Henry already has won regular season meeting...but it was early on. And won it I believe without Rechtin.

1. The difference in the state rule and the apparent tourney rule is that the state rule is grade-agnostic. The state rule says you can play any sport in any grade as long as you're not 19 before 8.1 of that season. In theory, the state rule will allow a kid that is a JR and turns 19 on August 2nd of his JR year to play that year.

The tourney rule is obviously specific to a grade since it is a grade tourney.

2. RE wasn't questioning Hatton's age. Trust me that he's well aware of young Mr. Hatton and KNOWS there is no issue.

Let me retract point #1. I thought the rule said "16 before 8.1.11."

Honestly the team that surprised me tonight was Ludlow. If Ludlow gets over the, I get the rebound, I shoot the ball mentality and plays more team basketball, they are a team to look out for. #34 and #40 impressed the heck out of me tonight!

That was the first game of the year for Highlands and I can assure you they are 10x better at this point. They had 5 kids dress JV and play 3-6 min a game due to their intensity. I was also impressed with the .Cru back then so it should be a battle.

Both teams have good talent, but I will be very surprised if the Birds don't take this one by double digits. Like I said previously, the Cru better be ready for 24 minutes of heck.

Rechtin did play in the earlier meeting, he scored 10.
