Highlands plays with a 7 man rotation. If Buten's injury lingers and he can't go Monday night, they are down to 6 boys that see PT. May be tough to play 4 quarters of end to end with a 6 man rotation.

 

 

Holmes dressed a total of 6 players for their tournament game. Was their team missing players due to injury, sickness, etc? Hard to imagine a basketball school like Holmes not having a full frosh roster.

Went back to CovCath this afternoon and was able to get the scores from the games yesterday. I also picked up a program, so I now have the correct spelling of the players names. I must apologize to the HHS and Simon Kenton fans as I wasn't able to find any more information about their game other than the score.

I heard that Hergott had a nice ballgame for the Birds converting several alley oop lay in's.

Taylor Morrison for SK is a very good player and had a nice game yesterday.

The quarterfinals begin tonight with CovCath vs Scott at 6:30 followed by St. Henry vs Highlands at 7:45. Wed: NCC vs Boone at 6:30 and Dixie vs. Ludlow at 7:45.

 

CCH vs Scott: CCH won by 30 the first time these teams played. Should be a closer matchup as both are well coached and match-up fairly well.

 

St. Henry vs. Highlands: Both teams like an uptempo game with full court defense and attacking offenses.

 

NCC vs. Boone: These teams matchup well size-wise. The shooting performance from outside by both teams will decide this game.

 

Dixie vs. Ludlow: Ludlow won this matchup during the regular season. Ludlow has the size and athleticism to match-up with anyone in the tournament.

Highlands 36 St Henry 39.....Great win for the CRU. This team is playing very well.

I saw the Birds frosh team twice this year. I didn't come away overly impressed especially if they're playing without their PG. Solid but not a team you would expect to make a run in a tourney. I will admit that two games might not paint an accurate picture.

Two games don't do them Justice. I saw them pummel Conner 60-33 and have seen them probably 10 other times. I can see 4-5 very solid future Varsity contributors and maybe more.

I saw them against CCH and they were solid. I saw them against Ryle who is decent and I think Ryle beat them. So that's my only knowledge of them. Beating Conner doesn't tell me much.
