Congrats to all involved. You can tell lots of hard work went into this Tourney. Thanks for all the info and pics throughout. Have seen Brian Radcliff play before several times and he does a really nice job. Again Congrats!

Congrats to CovCath on what sounds like a very hard fought victory, and to the young 'Breds on a very nice showing in this event. Sounds like there's lots of talent in NKY coming up the next few years? Good job by all those who make this the fine event that it is year after year!!

I want to give some love to the CovCath "Seniors in Training" for their large turnout for the Freshmen Championship game. Gentlemen you did an outstanding job of cheering and rooting on your classmates. You made an old grad proud!

Congrats to Covington Catholic and Newport Catholic on great seasons. I'd say both have a whole lot to be proud of, win or lose. It was nice to see Coach Tieman at the game last night. As for the game, what a good one. This is the third year in a row that the finals have come down to the last minute of the game. You hate to see anyone lose, but this is why the tournament is so special. From the fog and spotlight, to cutting down nets...couldn't ask for a better way to end your season. Again, great job by both teams and coaches.

Congratulations to both teams for making it to the finals. Congrats to Cov Cath for capturing the championship. They have an extremely nice team. I'm surprised the game was that close after seeing both teams play. The tournament was a great production. I was able to take in a few games. Well done folks!

Great Stuff as always!

A tip of the hat to the Breds and their coaches. I am continually impressed how well they play year in year out. Almost every year it is the same recipe for success. They have 1 or 2 outstanding players along with 4 or 5 nice athletes who play great team basketball. They always play tenacious defense and hustle from baseline to baseline. I was going to say the names change but the results stay, except that many times only the FIRST names change as family member after family member continues the tradition.

 

Is there any other family that has continually produced quality basketball players like the Pangallo clan? Everytime I think they are gone, another Pangallo shows up hitting key shots and diving for balls all over the floor.

I love the picture w/ the NewCath player taking the ball out of bounds and the fans giving it to him in his ear. He's smiling as he inbounds the ball. Looked like a great atmosphere.

Thomas Football League, but I don't believe that enough is said about the Parochial basketball Leagues in Campbell and Kenton Co. Add to that, a lot of those same coaches coach AAU teams, and do it for the right reasons. Spot on. I watched them last night against Ryle and was thinking the exact same thing. At the beginning of the year I always question if they're going to be able to compete. I then remember it's NCC and they ALWAYS compete. I slipped into asking that again last night about next season. I'm sure I'll smack myself for that.

My family is on the small side up there and I've had 1 grandpa, 7 uncles, 7 aunts (OLP), 11 cousins, 3 brothers, Mom and Dad all go through w/ 2 cousins on the way. It is amazing how many generations just keep rolling up there. Not just rolling, but loving the school. Loving the name on the front of the jersey.
