Isn't there really only one choice for this? We see it on BGP all of the time?

I've read about Belleview, Bellview, Belview, Bellvue, Belevue, and Bellevue high schools in various locations on BGP. Connor and Pendleton have showed up fairly often too.

Scott is probably actually in the city of Covington. I know some subdivisions residents right by Scott pay Covington taxes

My choice would be Pendleton County.

 

In my neck of the woods my home county, Owsley, is not only misspelled quite often but also is mispronounced.

You got me curious. I've got relatives who live off of Wayman Branch who have a Covington address, but it looks like Scott is definitely in Taylor Mill.

This is the one I have the most trouble with. But then again, my favorite player in Northern KY this year is Cov. Cath's Conley, Connley, Connelly?

They tend to put the closest city in front of non geographically named schools.

 

I remember when Conner girls went to the sweet sixteen in the 80's,they were in the program as Covington Conner.

If we can count Harrison County as part of Northern Kentucky what about the mascot names Thorobreds and Fillies. I always thought it was Thoroughbreds and Phillies ????

 

It should be Thoroughbreds and Fillies. Phillies of course is the baseball team which probably refers to residents of the city of Philadelphia, not sure.

It's "Highland" south of 275 and "Highland Heights" north of the river.

Is there a Highlands? I mean is that the name of the community? I've always seen Fort Thomas Highlands.

It was The District of the Highlands before it became an official city.

I didn't think it was... I actually just browsed over the school's website and I didn't see a single mention of Covington in the school's name.
