Coaching Change at Whitley

Featured Replies

I hear that it's Dudd Lee Hilton.

He rarely actually applies for open jobs. He inquires about the position and kind of tells what he expects if he were to consider it and just gauges a school's interest. It would surprise me if his name didn't come up as it does every off season for nearly open job within 80 miles of Bell County.

I think that he would consider it, and it would be a good fit, Coach Adams for 4-5 years and then bring in Bobby Gibbs, former all-state and Kentucky All Star player at Whiltey and former All-American.

As far a Chuch Smith goes.....Well there he goes......That would never happen, but I would say that if he wanted to go back to the high school game, Whitley would be one of the few that could afford him.

It will be at least three weeks before anything is done, the job has been posted for 1 week and many many people are interested in the job.

When Mike Campbell took over 17 years ago, the program could only get a few applicants, now it is one of the top jobs open. Facilities, adminstration support, a field house just out of sight but on the way, future improvements to the staduim, it has alot to offer.

In fact for all he has done for the program, they should name the field house after him or the field or both...............

I agree something (field, field house, etc.) should be named for Coach Campbell. He has had a lot of help over the years, but he deserves the credit for the heights Whitley reached over the last 17 years.

You must be one of two things #1 His agent or #2 His wife.

Would he bring his sidekick(Coach Greer) with him?

No. He will take over at Bell.

No. He will take over at Bell.

He has been there and done that in football, I believe that he will stick to baseball.

I think he needs to step out of the whole scene period.

But thats just my opinion i'm sure many others have the same one.

if you were at that 2A state game you would have seen Timmy Greer sportin a Bell county jacket while he and others were getting aknowledged for winning the title 25 years ago while playing for corbin

You mean Tommy greer.

its timmy in the khsaa record books but i know its tommy

Tommy has a brother by the name of Timmy, but he did not play football.

Yes i was there and it made me absolutley sick. The same program that gave him the football knowledge he has, (not character believe me) he gave a slap in the face too. I heard the only reason he is back at Bell is because nobody else wants him. They should have left him out of the ceremony at Papa Johns stadium.

I'm no Greer fan, but just because he wore a Bell Co. jacket?

Bell Co. signs his checks, so why should he not be loyal to his employer? I like Tommy myself and would like to see him back at Corbin.
