I would rather not say on here(but you could ask around in Williamsburg), and anyways I could be wrong. Now if it was his brother-in-law, I would say that it was a good hire.

 

Even though I'm 4chs, I know some of the kids and their families in the Whitley program and wish only the best for them.

When looking at a coach, I look at track record. I know that under Gentry Cumberlands has led the Nation in rushing the past 2 years (hard to do unless you have a great offensive line, and seems to me a pretty dang good coach leading them). As far as relating to kids, he seems to do pretty well with those he coaches at the university. Finally, knowing a few folks in Williamsburg, I've heard some good things about him.

The Williamsburg people should know him better than I do. My contact with him has been very limited, which may or may not lead to an accurate assessment.

I believe he coaches O-Line and by name is Offensive Coordinator but King calls all the plays on Saturdays.

You are correct King calls the plays in from sideline, but Gentry has major input. Gentry also runs the weight program and from people Ive talked to the players over his tenure have greatly improved strength.

Was there interviews today {Thursday}?Does anyone know who all interviewed?

Rumor has it interviews were today.....but I have heard nothing.
