Coaching Change at Whitley

What happened to Fox? Did he get the axe to?

Just heard he was getting out of it. Also think he is one of the high school applicants.

3. Dudley Hilton (had to throw his name in there because it is a job opening in SE KY. It is mandatory to mention Dudley's name in every opening.)

I'd really like to see Coach Black down at Whitley County. Mike Whitaker has too good of a thing going at Christian County and would be foolish to leave. There simply is not enough athletes in the mountains to run his offense on a consistant basis. Out in Hopkinsville there is more athletes plus he has more athletic talent in surrounding counties should they decide to attend CC.

BTW why is Campbell out? I may know but I won't go into personal lives be it good or bad so nobody needs to ask if that is even a reason.

Mike Whitaker might stay at Christian Co. simply because he has a QB that is being talked about as a Mr. Football canidate. Other then that he has his eyes wide open looking at what is out there. It's been no secret that he hasn't been the happiest coach in the area. Mike has upset some people with his comments in the past and every year he has been at Christian Co. he has had a new Defensive Coordinator every year. Besides having Tandy back Christian Co. lost a lot both WR's, TE, and RB throw in he had a couple of younger kids quit in midseason both of whom will not be playing football next season giving Christian Co. some question marks to fill in at a lot of holes. 2 years 2003 and 2005 his teams fell apart at the end of the season. This year they got it together in the playoffs but the players let it be known in the local paper they turned it around because of the motivation from Defensive Coord. Steve Lovelace.

I was told that he was staying because of Tandy, but he has a lot of family in Corbin and maybe they will sway him to reconsider. His wife has an administrative job with the school system, so there would also have to be an opening made available for her.

Don't doubt Tommy being on the Campbell Field sidelines next season, on a regular basis, if you know what I mean.

Explain, you mean you think Tommy Greer will be at Corbin High School?

Mike Whitaker did one of the best things he could have done a t Corbin by telling Tommy Greer to leave and never come back in the middle of a practice.

That's what I was wondering? :scared:

Corbin Times-Tribune reported today that Mike Campbell is running for Juedge Executive in Whitley County.

Actually, we're the Times-Tribune.

Actually, we're the Times-Tribune.

Sorry. Les, does this surprise you that he may get out of the education field?

Don't be aorry. Did it surprise me? Nope, actually this didn't surprise me at all.

Actually, we're the Times-Tribune.

I know it's an attempt to become more regional, but you guys maybe should rethink that one. A quick Google search comes up with many Times-Tribune but only one Corbin Times-Tribune. Perhaps S.E. Ky T-T?

I doubt they would do that. Probably stay with The Times-Tribune

I hope everybody at the court house can do wind sprints.

The current CJE is considering a job in Frankfort, I believe. He can pick the CJE to replace him until the next election. Do Mike Patrick and Mike Campbell have any ties to each other?

I would think that current magistrate Burley Foley would be a shoe-in. But there are a couple of other people that would also be considered.

I am still interested in who is going to succed him at the helm of the football program, I am not too interested in the political side. If he should win and I hope he does, then Whiltey will have to fill the AD position too. Then it could get really interesting.

Not real sure that Magistrate/Coach Foley would be interested...

Any idea when Whitley will make their choice?
