I'd set mine to 68, but the A/C would kick on. :D

You're adjusting it back and forth every morning and evening? Your heat bills must be outrageous.

I agree. I keep mine at 70 at night, 71 or 72 when we're home. My wife wouldn't want it any lower.

Not at all.

Lowering your thermostat 10 degrees for 8 hours each night during the time you are in bed can save an additional 5 to10 percent.

Some people mistakenly believe that the energy savings from lowering the thermostat for a few hours are offset by the expense involved in reheating the house. Tests show that lowering your thermostat setting daily for intervals of four or more hours will reduce costs.

I'm skeptical, just doesn't sound right to me.

68 at night.

Awesome topic I can't wait Wm show my wife. She thinks 68 is cruel and unusual punishment. Them on the other hand I think a 500 dollar gas bill is:-)

No way I could lower mine to 60 and maintain peace. However I do have presets between 65 and 70 depending on wgdtgdpwdpd home or not. I may just set it at 67 and let everyone get acclimated. Should be easy cause they absolutely love 67 in the summer.

71 to 73 for me.
