December 16, 201015 yr I remember when the Ducks introduced their first crazy uni and people puked on it. Now look at them. Their unis are hugely popular especially with the younger crowd.
December 16, 201015 yr I normally like Oregon's uniforms but these are some of my least favorite. Don't like the socks and don't like the color of the helmet.
December 16, 201015 yr My son is loving the socks and now hounding about how he can get a pair. And that's the name of the game.
December 16, 201015 yr I'm a big fan. Really cool. I totally agree the Ducks uni's rock they are off the charts cool.
December 18, 201015 yr And that's the name of the game. :thumb: Cha Ching $$$$, it's like all the different caps that you see NFL teams wearing on the sidelines and the batting practice caps and jersey worn by MLB teams. Marketing, and as long as they can sell them then they will continue. As long as they can get the young crowd saing "really cool", "they rock" and any other term they are using now companies like Nike will be laughing all the way to the bank.
December 18, 201015 yr I don't have a problem with it or Oregon's 300 uniforms. I wouldn't want my team to do that look, but to each his own.
December 18, 201015 yr Oregon's tradition is being the flagship Nike school and having all kinds of uniform variations. Should they change that tradition because your old rear end doesn't like it??? :thumb: Sometimes they're good, and sometimes they're not, but I like what Oregon and Nike does together.
December 19, 201015 yr :thumb: Sometimes they're good, and sometimes they're not, but I like what Oregon and Nike does together. Make money off of the students? Couldn't resist.
December 19, 201015 yr I heard yesterday that Under Armour was making an all orange uni for Auburn for the NC. Anyone else heard this?
December 19, 201015 yr As long as they can get the young crowd saing "really cool", "they rock". Kids still say that?
December 20, 201015 yr I heard yesterday that Under Armour was making an all orange uni for Auburn for the NC. Anyone else heard this? If true, it's absurd.
December 20, 201015 yr I heard yesterday that Under Armour was making an all orange uni for Auburn for the NC. Anyone else heard this? Under Armor proposed a new jersey for Auburn but the AU athletic department declined it. December 20, 201015 yr I'm glad Auburn didn't choose to change uniforms. When you look at the current AU uniforms they look the same as they did when Bo suited up for the Tigers.
December 20, 201015 yr RTS, I agree. Guess we're old school. I say find a uni, home and away, and stick to it! One would think the NCAA would have made some noise about all the different unis. But I guess Nike's money talks louder than NCAA regs. By the way, does anyone know how many different uniforms the Ducks have worn this year? I betcha they'd make noise if it were Kentucky instead of Oregon, the hypocrites. Let UK try the weekly uni change just one time next season and watch the NCAA slap a new rule on it the next week. And on another note, if Kanter had signed with Oregon (or any other school) he would already be eligible. The NCAA has it in for UK for some reason in my paranoid opinion.
