The lady told them today that Caleb has gotten more cards than any other patient ever...except for a Marshall Football Player who was injured in a game. I think we can push Caleb to being the #1 most popular patient ever at Cabell Huntington. He is #1 in our eyes...so ...friends and family of Jackie Cole and Kimberly Cole let's keep the cards coming. December 10, 201015 yr Author Today has been such a great day for Caleb. He has walked 3 times, and went further each time, and is getting stronger. Plus he hasn't had any pain meds since 7am. This evening he wanted to sit up in a chair and play his Nintendo DS. While he was doing that, he had to go to the restroom. That was a big hurdle because up until now his stomach and bowels weren't working. So this is a big step in his recovery. Now maybe he can have that breakfast burrito he has been asking for, LOL.
December 10, 201015 yr Author I am happy to report that Caleb has improved by leaps and bounds and he gets to come home TOMORROW. :banana: Yesterday, the doctors told Jackie and Kim that Caleb would likely be in the hospital for about 10 more days. They felt it would take this long for his strength to come back, for his stomach and bowels to start functioning and for him to be ready to go home where he will be treated by home health for a while. Well, today, after seeing how miraculously Caleb has improved, the doctors agreed that he can come home...
