Where exactly in the last 60 posts have I said I hated Highlands? I don't hate Highlands. I even said they were 2 point favorites in this game but I have never said I hated Highlands. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Highlands but if it is construed as hate because I say "I expect us to beat Highlands" then so be it. If you need to manufacture fake hate for motivation then knock yourself out.

We have stepped up and played plenty of teams. Last I saw we are scheduled to play the greatest team/program in the state in week 0.

Highlands was a 2 pt conversion away from tieing the game up and sending it to OT, so obviously I wasn't that far off.

 

And outside of next year, when you guys play Highlands, Boyle really hasn't played anyone. The Christian Co team you played this year, Highlands smoked 50-0. BTW, Highlands will be BETTER next year than this year. Good luck!

Johnson Central, Bell County.....right we haven't played anyone. You may very well find out about the LexCath team we played 2 weeks ago if we don't take care of business. We also had 4 or 5 teams on our schedule that were playing in the State Semis in their respective classes. I can handle that.

Next year we play Highlands, AC-S, John Hardin as well as our district schedule which wil be a tough district. You should probably do a little more research and you'll see that Boyle has a hard time finding teams to play them just like Highlands does. We have had multiple schools not renew contracts and Johnson Central almost didn't honor the last year of our contract with them because of the thumping we put on them in 2009. See, we aren't so different.

We have 7 state titles since 1999, we are 2-2 overall against the great Highlands program and we currently have the state's longest winning steak to go along with back to back titles. I have a tremendous amount of pride so if you think I am going to come on here and kiss tail because you guys have 20 titles, then you my friend, are clueless. My pride won't allow that. Highlands also wasn't fully healthy for that second game against Ryle when they lost by 2 (on missed 2 pt conversion tries). It took Ryle's best team in school history to beat Highlands by a missed 2 pt conversion. Nicely done, sir.

 

And fwiw, had your team stepped up and played a team like Ryle, we wouldn't be talking about a 30 game win streak heading in to next year. :sssh:

Ryle's best ball carrier didn't play for 19 minutes of the game due to a deep thy bruise. I think they found a way to overcome that adversity. Highlands was beaten by a team who was better up front that night.

I am asking a qestion. They were asked to get a game. They declined. Both schools have the same two weeks open and could schedule either week, so why would they decline. It would be a good game for both teams.
