Where did they go?

Are they in the same classification as Morehead?

Hatz not sure if Dayton is D1, they play Atlantic 10 with Xavier

Where did they go?

Brandon went to Georgetown but has since retired from football and is concentrating on studies at UK.

What about Marty Moore? I don't remember if he got a scholarship to UK but had a good career in the NFL with a Super Bowl ring to prove it...along with Jared - that's 2 Bluebirds with SB rings! How many from Boyle?

Marty might have more than one super bowl ring with the Patriots. One super bowl he was on injured reserve , and the other one he was healthy. I'm sure there are some on here that know how many rings he really has , but I would say at least one.

I think he won when on injured reserve and lost to the Packers when he was healthy.

I want to publically apologize to the Mods before they close this thread. I'm sorry for the part I've played in leading this thread on a crazy path.

My intention was to logically continue to support a position I had made that while Highlands program is historically superior and maybe superior over the period I've mentioned I don't think it's as large a gap as has been suggested.

I tried to do this with contrast and comparision on the time frame since Boyle won their first title in '99.

When I asked about D 1 Scholarships received by Bird players, I never got a complete list and some of the lists were well beyond the time frame I wanted us to adhere too. Others cited players who did not receive D 1 schollys as the term normall implies. Still others cited Super Bowl stuff.

I :isurrender: and am sorry for what I did to take us so far out into the Moabi Dessert away from the highway we were on.

So, the fact that no one was able to remember enough names for you to feel satisfied, somehow makes them evasive? Your question was answered as well as could be reasonably expected.

You are right on one thing...the gap is not "large."

It's huge!

There has been some talk in this thread about comparing D-I athletes between Boyle County and Highlands. I think it's safe to say that both HHS and BC have had a few very good D-I players in the recent past, but both BC and HHS have been outstanding programs because of what the coaching staffs have been able to get out of all their players, and not just the few who go on to play D-I football.

It's been awhile since this significant of a match-up has been played at the start of the season. Rarely do two defending state champions play each other right off the bat the following season. Add to that BC's 30-game win streak and the fact HHS has lost one KY football game since 2006 and you have quite a contest lined up! I remember back in 2004 BC and LexCath playing a big game to start the season... LexCath beat defending champ BC in a very close game. I think this match-up, on paper at least, surpasses that one.

Your right, one team has a 3 to 1 lead in State Championships during the 6 years both teams have been in the same class together.

Just like 2003 all over, for the older members. :D

JB you need to make the trip to Danville for this game. I'll get Who ya With to smoke us some BBQ like the big 2003 tailgate party we had. There was alot of members that showed up at the last one.
