I'll be the first to say it! I played for Bob Schneider, my boy's played and won a ring with Bob and I have great respect for Bob,,,,but,,,,this year was the best coached Newcath team ever! Great job coach Eviston and the '10 Breds!

How many seniors contribute for NCC?

This years' senior class was one of the best in recent memory.

Theirsenior class included the following:

#3 Chris Kelly Rb/Lb

#11 Brennan Daunt Wr/DB

#12 Clayton Bhola Wr/DB

#15 Jake Cain Rb/Wr/LB

#18 Brian Doyle Wr/DB

#50 Nick Kohrs LB

#52 Andrew Merrill LB

#56 Kyle Tallon OL/DL

#74 Jake Geisler OL/DL

#78 Jack Gruenschlager OL/DL

Breds will lose a lot from this years' team but return a lot of talent next year led by QB Brady Hightchew, RB Dylan Hayes, and OL/DL Logan Martin. The current soph class is pretty good as well.

congrats NCC, OC had no answer for the physical play

:dancingpaCongrats to NewCath.... nice season and a convincing win in the biggest game of the season. Go Breds! Glad to see another title coming back to Northern Kentucky this season.

I hate to say I told you so but I will. WOW!! That was just unfair. Great teams create bad days for inferior teams. Looking back at the prediction thread, you would think a bad day would have meant a point total in the 40's, not a big fat goose egg.

Hey. Pete Rose struck out once.

Yes Sweeperboy but not over and over.

Nice win, NCC. Congratulations on being state champions...again!

First off, I'll say NCC was the favorite and played like it. I dont think anyone was beating NCC in the postseason.

But, I'll also say that WKY was down in 2A this year. I didn't think so in the regular season but it sure came to light in the playoffs.

Also, another prime example of why Franklin system teams struggle in the finals.

I think any of these teams from WKY that did not advance to Louisville could have beaten OCath's 2010 team.

Last year's Murray team

Last year's Monroe County team

Monroe County's 2008 team

"The only thing I will say about O-Cath is they had the largest contingent of fans that I have personally witnessed at a 2A game. "

What surprises me was the fact you had no following from the NCC crowd , you guys had less people there than Danville had last week....

It was impressive how all of Owensboro was at the game but they did had a much shorter drive than NCC. I personally thought NCC had a fantastic following, I'd bet 3500. Not bad support for 40 football players.

I can see why Bluegrass Preps has no following from WKY, just an observation...

Come on man. You were the one saying that NewCath always came in with NKY hype and fluttered out. Now they win BC the west is down? Give credit where credit is due. This was as good of a AA team as there has been in awhile. They could go toe to toe with any other AA team in the last 5 years.

The Scribe is a big time Western Ky. supporter. He is just stating facts.

Because of what I said or because what I said was right?

I'm from WKY but I don't drink the kool-aid. I'm a UK fan but I don't drink the kool-aid. And I'll take quality over quantity any day
