Seems every year they win' date=' Highlands wins as well and subsequently gets more media attention and hype. It doesn't just go for NCC, but for all NKY squads IMO.[/quote']

This one gets more hype in Ft. Thomas, but not in Northern Campbell County. Chances are that fans of both teams are still talking about their own games, and fans of NKY football took note of both scores, congratulated both teams, and moved onto basketball. It is nice that at least we got to the second page in a thread before Highlands was mentioned in a thread that had nothing to do with Highlands.

This is one of the strongest N.C.C. teams I can remember. Although, I can't get over how in the world they lost to Beechwood. I know some will argue there was a bad call. But I do not understand how the game was even close.

When you don't come to play for 24 minutes and the other team does, you will find yourself in a ball game. When the other team has Vocke, you find yourself in a 17 pt. hole. That was the most important game of the year for NewCath. Every game after that they played the full 48 minutes.

Glad to see my Breds take care of business and bring home number 4!

Name me the last state champion to run the full fledged Franklin system and win a state title.

Mayfield, the run it full fledged.

No they don't. They get in the Power I and the I as well.

Alot of Franklin teams do get in formations like Power I, wishbone, or even wing T. It is called "change of pace". I saw Mayfield play Caldwell and Hazard. The only time I saw them get in the wishnone was on the goaline. Why do they go to the Fanklin Seminar every year?

Beechwood was very good this year so no shame in NCC losing to them. Beechwood played one of their best games against NCC. NCC took a half to adjust and fell just short of pulling out a win. Beechwood was the second best team in 1A and probably better than anyone in 2A besides NCC. I think you and many others are not giving Beechwood enough credit. Here is an interesting fact for you - the last three times NCC has won a state championship Beechwood beat them in the regular season.

Sounds to me that is a good trade off. I hope they beat Beechwood next year.:D
