Come on man. You were the one saying that NewCath always came in with NKY hype and fluttered out. Now they win BC the west is down? Give credit where credit is due. This was as good of a AA team as there has been in awhile. They could go toe to toe with any other AA team in the last 5 years.
I said that was based on what people said on here. I've had NCC ranked #1 for most of the year. I'm saying there was no one on the west side that would have come within 2-3 TDs this year. I'm giving them plenty credit. It was an absolute smackdown.

Because of what I said or because what I said was right?

I'm from WKY but I don't drink the kool-aid. I'm a UK fan but I don't drink the kool-aid. And I'll take quality over quantity any day

Watch Auburn today , that system is real close to the so-called FS and there not that shabby. Its not the offense its the defense, that's where OC lacks their ability to win the Big Ones. Its been several years since they have had some outstanding defensive players. They need more size and strength...
With all due respect, this team was better than every other one with the exception of '05 and I put those two as neck and neck. No other team could flat out match their tenacity.

The change in the offensive system has enabled NCC's recent teams (last 10 years or so) to become the powerhouse that they are. In the mid 80's, they went to the state finals 3 consecutive years, winning one. Those were the days of the wishbone and they were winning on talent alone.

Name me the last state champion to run the full fledged Franklin system and win a state title.

Hoover Ala., you didn't say which state...
Congrats NCC. Great team!!

Back at you Mayfield. I really think these 2 teams could beat some teams in the higher classes.

Wow, great job Breds.

In all seriousness, does the Highlands rout as well as #20 overshadow the accomplishments of this team in the eyes of Northern Kentuckians?

I don't think so. NCC is a great program. We, in NKY, are a little spoiled in the fact that we always send at least 2 teams to a State Title game and usually come home with 1 or 2 championships. Highlands is Highlands, but we are proud of the NCC's, Beechwoods, Ryles, Boone Co.'s, SK's, CCH's, Conner's, etc., as well.

Why would it?

Why would it?

Seems every year they win, Highlands wins as well and subsequently gets more media attention and hype. It doesn't just go for NCC, but for all NKY squads IMO.

This is one of the strongest N.C.C. teams I can remember. Although, I can't get over how in the world they lost to Beechwood. I know some will argue there was a bad call. But I do not understand how the game was even close.
