Out of curiosity what class would Highlands be in?

Why only Ohio? Let's have 48 more threads crowning HHS mythical champs in all but maybe 5 or 6 states.

Wrong- far and away they are the best 2 programs KY has to offer and they do it the right way- if they continue to play OH's best they will be even better- Highlands even steps up and plays the "big boys" from OH which is saying something!!

 

Just trying to add a little perspective.

 

Until other schools start taking steps to improve, these 2 are almost never going to get beat.

 

The gap is getting wider in their respective classes, not closer!!!!!!

I think it's the other way around....how many DIIII schools do Elder, St. X, and Colerain play? The answer is going to be virtually none for the simple fact that those three don't want to risk the harbin points by losing to a very good DIII team."

 

I've also already heard that Elder and Cincy X want nothing to do with Trinity the next two years because they were so young this year and performed so well against the Ohio "big boy

Can you blame them? I don't think anybody wants to play them the next 3 years. They should make some noise nationally too.

First of all, for Highlands you would have to go back and check enrollment to see what class they would have competed in in Ohio in a given year. Too many on here think HHS would be playing Div. I and therefore would have very few titles.....that is absolutely not the case. Second you would have to make some comparison to the strength of that HHS team to the teams that won in each season in Ohio AND the path of travel (opponents in the playoffs that would have been necessary to even make the finals). This doesn't even account for what their season results would have been/which district,conference, whatever...that would have qualified them to make playoffs. Are we done yet ?.........chances are they would have won plenty, probably not 19. (I learned that in Probability &Statistics class in college) Bottom line is who cares.........."you don't live in Cleveland" ! :lol:

As I have stated here before, Highlands' number of state titles is more impressive than that of Trinity's, for this reason: none of Highlands' state titles have been achieved with the enrollment advantage that Trinity has enjoyed over its 4A/6A brethren. In fact, several of the Bluebirds' trophies were won when they were playing up in class.

Trinity's 19 state titles are much more impressive than HHS, and it's not even close. To win a title, Trinity must beat the biggest schools in the state year after year. The competition is much better also. Highlands can keep beating up on the smaller classes, T is quite content winning the state's biggest and best class.

I don't think the Ohio schools will be knocking on Highlands door next year. They will be loaded again.

 

In my opinion , the gap is closing between Ohio and Kentucky high school football , quickly ! When the big boys won't come calling from Ohio , you know your team is the "real deal " ! :thumb:

You need to do some research before you post this garbage. Anybody who watches HS football knows Highlands is a 3A school playing in a 5A class. They have been for a long time ! Where you been ?

While being one of the biggest schools in the state. You're right, it's not close, HHS hands down.

I don't know what you Highlands guys smoke, but it's illegal. To compare 6A to the smaller classes is laughable. Nice try though.
