I've got a 20 ga. Browning Citori and an old Sears (Winchester) 12 ga...either should be fine with 3in steel.

My tradition is avoiding the family at all costs. Not a big holiday person, the next month can fly by for all I care. :lol:

 

No, I'm not scrooge, I don't mind getting a gift or two for those close to me, but the overall "experience" of the holidays, no thanks.

Better bring the 12. A mallard will chuckle at you if you shoot a 20 at him. And a goose will give you a stiff arm as you unload.

Kind of sounds like pecan pie...without the pecans.

Stopped by the Dutch Cafe on the way home from ND on Sunday.....amish place with buffet and desserts. They had Hummingbird Pie. Embarrassed the kids when I asked the Manager how many of the hummingbirds were needed,to make one pie.

The in-laws host about 20+ each year and entrust me with cutting two very large birds up for the group. And they wonder why I don't each much when we sit down to eat after the blessing :lol2:. I always enjoy my Father-In-Laws Prayer of Thanksgiving! We all are standing, holding hands amongst ages 2-mid 70s this year.

 

I don't have much of sweet tooth. However, the wife's chocalate pecan pie is an annual favorite with a dab of cool whip. All of you have fun with family and friends, be blessed, and be safe! Happy Thanksgiving...:dancingpa

This is the 1st Thanksgiving since my uncle passed away. He has cut the turkey for almost all of my 34 Thanksgivings. Gonna be a little rough this year.

People have brought back a few threads I've started from back in the day. Between this one and the Bourbon thread, I used to be an alright thread starter lol.

My family will have to delay our Thanksgiving Dinner til the Sunday after, cause they all got "other" dinners they have to go to on Thanksgiving day and well really nothing that can be done about it but oh well at least "hopefully" we'll get together then. They have families of families to go to, the teens have gilrfriends and boyfriends they want to spend time with so hopefully no one has plans for that day. We'll have a feast of Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Stuffing, Turkey, Ham, Deviled Eggs(No Pun Intended), Pies and other goodies my mother and sisters make, the men more and likely will watch some football and watch the Bengals-WHO DEY!!

My Thanksgiving Day tradition this hopping in the car driving to Pittsburgh.

Just picked up a box of rounds for squirrel hunting tomorrow morning with my brother. It's been two years since we've been able to go on Thanksgiving morning, but we're at it again this year. I'm excited!
