The thing I see looking from outside is that coach Warner has changed the program from the first finals appearance against Trinity. It looks to me like he has asked himself a few times " is this going to help us beat Highlands and Trinity?" It looks like the offense is different. It looks like the defense has been tweaked. I applaud that approach. I think they will give the 'rocks a better battle this time. That being said Trinity will still win.

Yes that is true Ryle has gone to a spread but they are still run oriented out of it. They are just giving their backs and QB more space to run. It has been successful with their line, if they had the passing game to go with it they could take this game. But I don't see that happening. Trinity will be too much.

Just like I stated for the SK game turnovers will be the key to this game.

I hope a lot of T players have that notion. This is not the same Ryle 1-player running show and a team with several weak spots like the Raiders that took on T in 06. It's gonna be a 2-way battle, not a 1-way massacre IMO. Plus, to be politically correct, it would be a ship sinking instead of a dam bursting. Hope all of you have a safe trip to Union.

I will say this as a Louisvillian: If/When a NKY team takes down T or X I hope it is Ryle (although hopefully not this weekend!). Everyone at T & X has nothing but good things to say about the parents/coaches/administration/etc. I think it would be good for 6A in general if SK, Boone, Ryle would try to schedule T or X in the regular season. That would A) give the NKY schools another opportunity to beat them and B) give the NKY schools an edge in preparing for a possible playoff rematch. I think (and I do not know if this is happening) that to avoid the powers in the regular season and then hope for that one-time upset is a tougher than getting exposed to their systems more often over time.

This comes from the "friend of a friend" source, but it appears Ryan Steffy is out for the season for T. Still trying to figure out if it was a cheap shot or not and by whom. Anyone? Luckily I think T has plenty of guys in line to catch footballs, but I feel bad that Steffy's high school career is over. I feel bad whenever this happens to ANY kid on ANY team.
