The more I think about the game, the more I am worried. We are young, and are in untested waters regarding the playoffs and our corresponding youth. I hope we bring our "A" game, we're going to need it.

The key is the play of Ryle's D-Line. They create pressure then they will win.

The SCRIMMAGE between the two teams was neck and neck. Ryle needs to capitalize on long drives, this is what Johnson Central did not do vs. the Birds. And the Ryle D line has to get pressure on Trinity's young QB. If they can do this then they'll be in Bowling Green with the Birds next week!

Unless T has changed their O since the scrimmage, getting pressure on T's QB will be very difficult, as their passing game calls for quick release passes. They get the ball into the hands of the talented receivers quickly and have them pick up the yards after catch. Such makes it very difficult to get pressure on the QB. The naked bootle to the back side after play action fake is wicked and tough on DBs with the way they flood that side of the field with receivers.

Based on what I saw of T in the scrimmage, I think Ryle can play with T, although Ryle is going to have to really execute and not have a bunch of mistakes. I do realize the scrimmage was a long, long time ago and that was the first real varsity action for a lot of T's sophomore starters, so T may be a completely different team now than what they were at the beginning of the year.

Good luck to both teams and may no one get seriously injured. Safe travels to the T coaches, players and fans.

Thanks LN and the same to you - and yours.

Go Rocks

I have not read every post in this thread. I will say that defending Trinity's passing game is something that Ryle may not be ready for because you just don't face it. Secondly, has anyone discussed how the officiating of the game may impact the outcome?

That's prob the one area Ryle has won. This team has played together a while and they really do play together well. Still though, Trinity is built like a GCL team, that will just be too much.

Its only temporary!

I would respect you even less if you kept that avatar. Stay faithful to your program and coach. I remember in HS in the late 1980s seeing SK on the schedule and planning events after halftime because we knew it was going to be a blowout. SK has come a long way since then.

It would be nice to see a new face in the 6-A winners circle.

If X had won last week you would be singing a different tune.

It will be a Senior laden - Ryle team against our youth and Soph. led Rocks.

Make it happen Rocks.

Convoy is heading out. Look for the Rocks to win by 21 in this one. Ryle won't be able to stop Trinity as many times as Trinity will be able to stop Ryle.

Trinity 49 - Ryle 21. Everyone talks about Trinity's passing game but when they are most dangerous, they have the running game to compliment it. They will use the pass to set up the run and take advantage of Bishop and Dawkins. St. X beat Ryle last year in the second round 66 - 17 using the pass and run. Trinity will step it up tonight. I do not think Ryle has bridged the 6A gap in a year, homefield or not.

Lot of youth on this team, I have a feeling there gonna be a round for a while, im sure you do too.
