That's classic right there. Also, don't forget to add to that rule; the football coach must also be in the building. And for those of you that roll your eyes at that, I can name a laundry list of coaches across the state whom aren't "in the building".

Because when interviewed Principal Yates said they could have a coach by February or as late as April. If they don't hire until April then they missed out on spring football, correct? The job has been open for over a month, they just posted it on December 6th. What are they doing to lead me to believe they are trying to find a coach ASAP? Why wait until February? That is my question.

I wouldn't put much stock into that article. MC is much further along then many are giving them

credit for.

That is good to hear. I look forward to them naming a coach.

Its crazy how the demographics change from school district to district. Seems to me as a person who is not in the know, i'm looking in thru the out door. Rule # 4080 is not only a rule for yesterday but a rule from day before yesterday. Seems to me hiring a retired teacher/coach is a total win situation for the district as well as the coach.

I think the issue might be hiring a retired teacher so they could teach and draw retirement (double dip). I could be wrong though.

I believe there is Rain in the Mercer forcast!

I heard last night there are two names in the mix. I think it as Rains and I forgot the other guy's name...

If it is Rains, they need to allow him to build with his staff and his way. Winning may not be immediate but it will be a way the will build a consistent team down the road!

That is not the Mercer way. He doesn't have to build, it is already built. Just ask anyone around this area the classes are stocked and they are ready for district and region titles.

This is the kind of negativity I hope can be contained. You are painting the whole to be like his when in reality there is actually just a loud minority who think this way. A majority of people in Mercer aren't expecting district and region titles. They are expecting to be competitive. I don't think that is asking too much.
