I would like to see Highlands schedule Bell Co. They seem to have had their problems in the past with the boys from Log Mtn. It is close to turkey day so I thought it was appropriate to throw Bell out there.

I thought they did, but Bell declined. Not a 100% sure on that though.

Had a little conversation with Dud's last February and in discussing the realignment, he made it perfectly clear that if Highlands was in 4A he was hoping to be in 3A. If Bell was to stay in 4A and Highlands was moving to 4A, he would ask to move to 5A or 3A. Dudley wants nothing to do with Highlands.

HHS was one of if not the first to respond to Dudley when the game opening notice went out on the server. He said thanks but no thanks. You are a little late on this one my friend. HHS moved on as well when they tried to call SK. So HHS moved to the out of State folks!:thumb:

Well , TBG, after 19 state titles the word has finally gotten out about the Birds. (I knew they couldn't keep a secret !) They're pretty good and some teams are running like field mice from a hawk . :scared:

 

Is the schedule complete ? Who would you like see on the schedule that isn't already there . (Anybody ? )

Too bad Uncle Dudley ducked the Birds as well for next yr. Bell would have been a nice touch of flavor to an already nice schedule. I personally like how Dale asked SK 3 times to play and then moved on to bigger and better programs. Good for him. Final spot for 2011 will be a dandy according to my sources. Ya want to talk about "Brutal" Highlands is taking their program to another level if that is possible in 2011. Go Birds 20n10

Highlands schedule, as it stands, is absolutely brutal.

 

The game against Elder will be like St. X last season. The town will be jam packed with fans everywhere.

 

What does Mason Co look like next year? Those two had a nice battle back in 2003 when the Royals were loaded.

 

Should be an exciting year of Bluebirds football in 2011. I don't know about you guys but I'm pumped about Birds' opponents next year.

A little insight into Mason, OH.

 

They are huge in terms of school size and line size. They won 5 games this year based solely on the play of David Fulcher's little boy being the RB. He graduates and Mason will be a very mediocre if not below average team next season. Highlands should win that game handily.

 

Elder will be improved but might not be enough improved to beat the Bluebirds. They were absolutely throttled by some teams this year (Colerain included) but they were very young...or so their fans say.

Thanks for the insight. Apparently Dale reads your posts because word has it Dale cancelled Mason OH today. Actually, Mason OH cancelled Highlands today due to an already brutal schedule for themselves. Didnt want any part of the Birds at least not for 2011.

I forgot to mention that Highlands other game not mentioned earlier in this thread is with Lou Western who will probably battle Bell Cty for a State Championship this yr in Dec.

So with all of that said, Birds still need one game. Maybe, just maybe Markesberry told Dale "too bad you guys scheduled Mason OH already because we could have played that week". Wouldnt that be something now that this game has been cancelled. Go Birds 20n10
