I think the rule of thumb should be that you need to have something close to a .200 winning percentage against Highlands over the last ten years to be considered for a continued place on the schedule.

Too bad Uncle Dudley ducked the Birds as well for next yr. Bell would have been a nice touch of flavor to an already nice schedule. I personally like how Dale asked SK 3 times to play and then moved on to bigger and better programs. Good for him. Final spot for 2011 will be a dandy according to my sources. Ya want to talk about "Brutal" Highlands is taking their program to another level if that is possible in 2011. Go Birds 20n10

I'm hearing Highlands has contacted Christian County about a series. The Colonels are Highlands West in that no one in the area will play them. As of last week, Christian County stil had five slots to fill.

That is a very tough schedule but the Birds re--load every year and they will have a lot of talented players back next year. The Div 1 guys like Towles and Bruns and then you have the JV and Frosh that went undefeated.

I would like to see Danville and Highlands playing again.

Hmmmm....could be one that recently got promoted.

A little insight into Mason, OH.

 

They are huge in terms of school size and line size. They won 5 games this year based solely on the play of David Fulcher's little boy being the RB. He graduates and Mason will be a very mediocre if not below average team next season. Highlands should win that game handily.

 

Elder will be improved but might not be enough improved to beat the Bluebirds. They were absolutely throttled by some teams this year (Colerain included) but they were very young...or so their fans say.
