November 1, 201015 yr I've said all along they have no foundation and will never win it all the way they are trying to build it. I got beat down on here for it. They are trying to take the cheap route with sketchy individual players. You reap what you sew! Today they got beat by a better team. These sketchy players you talk about, really are not the main reason for their losing. They didn't go out and get cheap but talented sketchy players for their offensive and defensive lines. Those two things are the things that are hurting them the most. The cheap but talented sketchy players they got in TO and Adam Jones, are having nice seasons. Well Adam Jones was before getting hurt. Their main problems come from the line play on both sides, and coaching.
November 1, 201015 yr I have said that for a while Geathers got his money and said alright, now ill just show up. Odom has talent they need him back to find out the truth about him. I said it last year, and I will say it again. I still don't think Odom was as good as we thought. Yes he started off great last year, but 5 sacks came against the Packers who had a backup tackle in at the time. Everyone in the league tore up that offensive line for the Packers last year. He did a good job at getting a sack per game in the other three. However I don't look at sacks only for how well someone does. That is only one play in the game. In all the other plays he was not getting pressure on the QB. The good defensive ends put consistent pressure on the QB, and he has never done that. Him and Geathers both need to be gone after this year too IMO.
November 2, 201015 yr I was at the game, so I can't answer this question. But, does anyone who watched the game on TV (and got to see an instant replay), did the Bengals really move before the snap on the play where Dansby (LB from Miami) made the refs make a false start call by intentionally encroaching? The officials weren't going to call it until Dansby walked through the offensive line...

Dennis Roland might actually be a better tackle than Daryn Colledge. That says a lot.
November 2, 201015 yr What key player in the NFL loses his job in the middle of a season? Maybe there are 5 a year ... in the entire league? I think you are on the right track but it isn't about fear of losing your job. That only happens as a player gets to the end of a contract. It is about finding players with pride who will play their rears off every single play. Who on the Bengals team does that? Brown is an old business man now, he doesn't know much about today's football. He is on record saying he "hates firing anyone because he saw his dad lose his job." His daughter basically the GM strikes me as the soccer mom who cheers the guys on regardless. The old saying before Marvin came to town... "Go to Cincy, make some money, stay injury free." Marvin has cleaned some of that up but he's not a floor general, he's a soft spoken guy. The Bengals do not need to win in order for Brown and CO. to make money, they got a sweet deal on the stadium and with the revenue sharing all they have to do is field a team. It's up to them what kinda ship they wanna sail.

November 2, 201015 yr If it's the one I'm thinking about, 71 flinched before Dansby started across. In Andre's defense, the flinch may have just been a combination of gasping for air and the looseness of the man boobs.

He cleaned up in garbage time against the Pats and in one other game but other than that he's not been much? He should have had 4 interceptions if he wouldn't have Shane Falco'd a TD in spite of having 2 possible HOF recievers, and top draft picks, and according to Bengal fans, future pro-bowlers in Shipley and Gresham and an all-pro running back. Yet he is 20th in passer rating? It's okay, we already know, you can say it.

Yet he is 20th in passer rating? It's okay, we already know, you can say it. Chad isn't a HOF player. TO was really good, but he's old. The O line and D line are horrible. Just because they get top draft picks it doesn't mean they know what to do with them. In fact an argument could be made with Pacman Jones that 4 of their best 8 or so players are free agents who had trouble with the law or were run out of town by mulitple teams for being trouble makers. Bengals fans including myself talk ourselves into draft picks being good because we want them to be, but most of them really aren't that good. Even Palmer is only decent, but he was better than decent when they had a good line and 85 wasn't an aging terrible WR who is more interested in VH1 than winning football.
November 4, 201015 yr Terrell Owens should never have been brought in. He affects every team he plays on negatively. He is no longer in his prime and he knows that, therefore, he tears others down to make himself seem better. Get Him out Coach Lewis. You never should have brought him in to begin with.
November 4, 201015 yr TO is not even close to the problem on this team. Who is he tearing down? Are you being serious?

By far the best reciever on the team. Yeah, best to get rid of him:rolleyes:
