It's my understanding that the 2011 contest will be played at BC, with BC traveling to Ft. Thomas in 2012.

 

I realize it's a HUGE "if" for both teams right now, but if HHS and BC manage to win out and capture their respective state titles this year, they will enter this 2011 game carrying the state's two longest win streaks. Highlands' win count would be at 43 and BC's would stand at 30. Again, it is a very big "if" for both teams to win the rest of their 2010 games.

 

Definitely a huge "if". Already game of the week for 2011. I hope both teams can win out. I'm really excited to see these two teams meet up. Lots of respect for Highlands from Boyle County.

Great to see these two heavyweights back in the ring together. Should be a great matchup. On a side note there is a certain team from Independence that flat out refused before even being asked the question the other nite at a coaches meeting. LOL!!! Where ya at UKfan? Also, looks like Dixie and Beechwood will be stepping down as well. Too bad for the Birds as they will have to scramble to fill a schedule for 2011! Go Birds 20n10

Wouldn't surprise me. From what I've heard, these two have tried to work something out the past few years but a certain team simply couldn't agree on the arrangements.

I think the round where they could potentially meet would be the "State Semi-finals," not the Regional semi-finals. :thumb:

Yeah, I hated to hear it. As I have always said you get better by playing better teams. I wonder if one or the other canceled the game or if it was a mutual decision because of the redistricting for 2011?
