As I age I find myself less and less passionate about certain teams as compared to my youth and , say, 10 or 15 years ago. If you asked which teams I'm truly "passionate" about (and that's probably a bit strong) I think I'm down to UK football followed by UK b-ball.

Other than that, I'm interested and root for the Reds, Bengals, Xavier, NKU, and ND football but it's not that big of a deal anymore.

So which of your teams gets the "passionate" tag?

Passionate

UK basketball

Florida Marlins

big MMA fights (bonus points for Shogun, Rampage, Lesnar, or Anderson Silva fights)

My high school's wrestling team

The Olympics

Interested and root for

Multiple NBA players (including all former Cats)

Miami Heat (way before this summer)

New York Yankees

LA Lakers

UK football

1. Kentucky Basketball

2. Cincinnati Reds

3. Kentucky Football

4. Cincinnati Bengals

5. NBA

I'd say that my favorite is Kentucky basketball, followed by the Reds. I like the Bengals and love going to the games, but they're more of a joke than anything. I pull for them, but when they figure out a way to lose, I just chuckle.

1. Kentucky basketball

2. Cincinnati Reds

3. Bengals

3a. Kentucky football

4. NBA as a whole.

1) USA Soccer

2) University of Dayton Basketball

3) University of Louisville Basketball

4) Minnesota Vikings

5) Minnesota Twins

6) University of Louisville Football

7) Aston Villa FC

8) Trinity HS Athletics

That whole thing is liable to change from month to month...

Teams that I live and die with: Nebraska football and UK basketball. If one of them lose it can really ruin my whole day and put me in a bad mood.

Teams I like and root: UK football, Xavier hoops, Thomas More football, Reds and Bengals. I like these teams a lot but I dont really get down when they lose. The bengals were in the other category until lately. Ive had enough of them and the dumb stuff they do where I dont let it bother me to much anymore. It was actually nice today not having to watch the crap they have been putting out there lately. Still root for them tho.

GRC Cards. I know this is in the pro forum, but high school basketball has always been my "passionate" sport.

1. UK Baskeball

Distant #2. Cincinnati Reds Baseball

3. UK Football

4. NBA teams with UK Basketball players

5. Whoever is playing North Carolina in college basketball

UK Basketball is the only team who would get the passionate tag from me.

I have a few other teams that I really like to see do well.

1. High school football. At age 55, still nothing compares to Friday night lights.

2. College football.

3. NFL.

4. High school basketball.

186. Watching paint dry.

187. Soccer.

1. Seattle Seahawks

2. UK Basketball

3. UK football

4. Boston Celtics

That's as far as my passion goes... My "casual" picks up with:

5. New York Mets

6. Pittsburgh Penguins

I'm all over the map.

Boyle County Basketball, Baseball and Football, Burgin Middle School Basketball, Duke Basketball, LA Lakers,Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Florida State Seminoles, Randy Moss and Aaron Rodgers.

Those are my sports passions in no particular order. If I had to rank them Randy Moss(5) and Kobe(4) would be in my top 5 along with Duke Basketball(3) and Boyle County(1) and Burgin(2).

Honorable mention goes out to Xavier Baseball, Arizona Diamondbacks, Indianapolis Colts and wherever Lamar Dawson decides to take his talents to.

Without a doubt UK basketball is #1. #2 (or 1A) is Murray State basketball.

In the past few years with more tv exposure and a decent product, UK football has maybe moved in to the #3 spot. ND football has dropped the past couple years for me. Weis really left a sorry taste in my mouth and I have yet to warm up to Brian Kelly, though I think he was a good hire.

The Lakers have picked up steam the past few seasons. I like the Yanks.

1. UK basketball ; 1A. Murray State basketball.

3. UK football

4. L.A. Lakers

5. ND football

6. Titans/Eagles and whoever is playing the Cowboys

7. NY Yankees

1. UK Basketball

2. Chicago Cubs

These two can put me in a bad mood all day over a loss. Needless to say, it's been a rough century.

3. Tennessee Titans

4. UK Football

I'm the most passionate about Canes football. The Cavs were probably tied with them, until the Lebacle.

UK is only slightly behind the Canes, I love UK basketball and football.

I root for the Reds, Yankees, Michigan football, and I guess the Heat. In the NFL I like players better than teams: Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Troy Palamalu, and a bunch of other players.
