I thought Towles, True and Streeter ran the ball extremely well tonight. Particularly with all the injuries in the second half. Obviously Withrow was very concerned with Pat's big arm. A couple of his runs, the DB's had their back to him, chasing the receivers, resulted in big runs, 40+ yards before they turned around. Of course the O line and receivers blocking down field helped tonight as well.

It was a battle of two amazingly mobile quarterbacks. They both must have gained a thousand yards. The difference in the game was that Towles' yardage was mostly North-South, and their quarterback's were almost all East-West.

Nice observation. The Birds kept a "spy" back there, the D ends maintained outside control...Did a nice job keeping him in the pocket for the most part. That really limited his ability to pick up any real yardage on the ground.

This was a very tough team the Birds played tonight and as usual they did what they had to do to win. Abner is a very smart player who was terrific on defense.

I couldn't believe this score when I first saw it. Withrow isn't in the top ten in the city. Did they bring there band?

No band, it is hard to believe they sit at 0-3 now, they will get their first W next week.
