Okay in an early post hosierbirdfan stated some Beechwood scouts were talking trash and that was not so. I sat with several Highlands fans and former player's and we were complimenting Highlands Football program along with their youth progarm. We did not trash mouth Highlands players that is wrong to have stated that. Nice try in firing up people. JD

 

Where in my post did I say the Beechwood scouts were trash talking?. I was sitting with George and Bill Roller and they were talking about football all night long. I said the scouts were mentioning things that H needs to work on. I knew somebody would twist my post. Maybe you are the one trying to stir the pot.

How well do you know Highlands football ? Apparently not much. Do you really think Bill Roller or any Roller (even the skinny one ) would let anybody say anything bad about HHS.

Streeter is no doubt an exceptional athlete and you are correct not much talk about him on him as of yet. He will earn his respect with some more repeat performances of last nite. The Birds are loaded at RB so when a kid gets his opportunity he should jump on it and Streeter did that last nite. Great job by Jordan and hopefully this was his coming out party . Go Birds 20n10

It was a pleasure talking HS football with you . We enjoyed watching the game with you . :thumb:

All it takes is some rope or an adult to step in and tell the kids to move on. Do you honestly think every parenr should have their kid sitting next to them at the game? Certain areas of the field where fans are exposed when walking to the bathroom or concession should have an authority figure there to protect the fans. Its just a very tight situation at that stadium and id love to see additional bleachers built at the southeastern end.

It is tight, which provides both advantages and disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is the proximity of the crowd to the field of play. But, unless the school can expand the field somehow, that isn't going to change.

 

We saw the kids playing over on our side, by the end zone. One of the sideline staff should have kept them further back from the field as the action got closer to that end. Usually they do a better job of it. We also have a million little kids running around, horseplaying between the ladies room entrance and the concession stand.

I was! If you know what my father looks like, it's easy to spot me as I am nearly a carbon-copy of him.

Can we now say that this matchup will replace Highlands/CovCath as great matchups of the yr. Obviously only for bragging rights. Go Birds 20n10

Judging by what I saw from Ryle on the field, and their fans in the stands, I would say it will (at least) join the more storied HHS/Cov Cath rivalry as among the biggest in the area.

I hear you about the young kids. It's a football stadium, not a blooming playground. If parents aren't going to control their kids at the game, hire a baby sitter and leave them at home.

 

PS: we made our sons sit next to us in the bleachers when they were young. They didn't like it, but being a parent is not a popularity test.
